The 3D sound option is fantastic and the floors will rattle at full volume which is loud and just the way I like it. Sound via TV your phone or streaming or any source is replicated well and balanced with some nice bass for the bass lovers.
The headphone performs well from the ultra lows to the upper mids. An improvement over the older Edifier W800BT in terms of audio quality. Ergonomic also change, now is more compact to store in bags. Build quality is way sturdier thanks to the metal bands compare to older generation. Great that Edifier listened to my previous reviews.
Let’s just say that the Edifier W820BT is certainly affordable. At just RM199 at Edifier Malaysia’s official LazMall store, it does what it is advertised. As for the sound quality, it is certainly something that leaves a lot more to be desired. It still sounds okay for general purpose, and for the price of only RM199, what more can you ask for?
The overly bass-optimised sound might turn off people who listen to less noisy music but if you like your bass, the Edifier W860NB is, for the price, a nice alternative for those who want an entry-level pair.
In the context of budget speakers, the Edifier R1700BTs are hugely appealing.
They’re up against some tough competition in this market (the petite Wharfedale DS-1s are their closest rival at £130), but they’ve got a likeable sound that’s fun and easy to live with – they’re definitely worth a serious audition.
For me myself, I appreciate full 2.1 speakers or bookshelf speakers. We’ve tested a lot of budget speakers over the years and the Edifier XM3BT is one of the better ones that we have tested thus far. The sound quality is decent for the price and it does look stealthy with its black MDF enclosure while showing its Edifier logo in glowing orange.
Edifier Malaysia has officially priced the Edifier W860NB at RM 499. The headphone has performed exceptionally well throughout our review period and it has changed our view of having a good pair of ANC headphones doesn’t always mean you have to sacrifice an arm and a leg.
They are very comfortable and fits in my ear nicely, and it never once showed signs of wanting to fall out. Yet with its lightweight build, my ears felt as if I was not wearing anything during my testing period. The sound quality it produces is decent enough for day-to-day use. It is not the most fantastic pair of earbuds ever, but it is indeed the most budget-friendly one out there.
