The Shah Alam High Court ruled in favor of Lim Guan Eng regarding false statements about a housing project in Bestari Jaya, Selangor.  bernama +1
- Outcome: The court ordered Zuraida Kamaruddin, MalaysiaNow editor Muhammad Abd Ar-Rahman Koya, and MNow Media Sdn Bhd to pay RM50,000 in global damages and RM5,000 in costs.
- Appeal: On March 6, 2026, Lim filed an appeal to increase the amount of damages, arguing that the RM50,000 award was manifestly inadequate given the harm to his reputation.

Lim has successfully sued several other political figures and media outlets for defamation:
- Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin
: In late 2024, the High Court ordered the former Prime Minister to pay RM1.35 million in damages for defamatory remarks related to the Al-Bukhary Foundation's tax-exempt status. In December 2024, Lim filed a bankruptcy notice against Muhyiddin for failing to pay the judgment sum. - Siti Mastura Muhammad
: In December 2024, PAS MP Siti Mastura
was ordered to pay a total of RM825,000 to three DAP leaders, with RM250,000 specifically awarded to Lim Guan Eng. She had falsely claimed Lim was related to former Malayan Communist Party leader Chin Peng. - Tajuddin Abdul Rahman
: Lim initiated a suit against the former Pasir Salak MP in 2025 over claims that Lim had turned the Finance Ministry office into a Chinese temple. - NSTP and Utusan Melayu: Both media organizations previously agreed to pay RM400,000 in damages for labeling Lim a "Singapore agent"
