在写信时 ，不知道对方是男或是女， 开头用dear Mrs. 是不是指 男/女

通常用：dear sir,

if you do now know the person's gender, u can use:
Dear sir / madam..

you can just say 'Dear sir', it's pretty safe for 50 years ago when all the male held most, if not all, of the high pos..
but nowadays, you needa prevent to be sexist..so it's better to say sir / mdm.
