1. I am surprised at your decision.
不能理解上司为什么做出某项决定,除非你是真的想要抗议,要不然千万别这么说。你可以试着用“I am afraid that there might be some understanding regarding…”这样的句式。
2. Do you think you could manage it?
可能你想表达的是:你是否能帮我们处理?但这样的表达方式听起来就不怎么令人舒服。想要请老板或上司出面处理,可以这么说“We might need you to personally direct this case.”
3. Please follow up.
要知道,跟进工作进度应该是你作为员工的职责,而不是老板的。想要用礼貌地方式表达,可以这样说“Please let me know your decision / suggestion”。又或者,你可以说“I will follow up and keep you updated.”
4. You should have already made the decision.
这句话怎么听都有责备的意味在里头,不管是口说还是在 Email 里书写。或许你并不真的在指责对方,但为了避免误会,还是建议改成“We really need your decision soon”会比较好。
5. Is that clear? / I hope I am clear enough.
好啦,这句话无论用中文或英语来说都不会令人喜欢。此外,也不要对着老板或上司说“Do you get my point?”礼貌一点,改说成“Please let me know if I am not clear enough”,效果会好很多。
