KUALA LUMPUR: After the adverse global publicity the country has endured due to the twin scandals of 1Malaysia Development Berhad and a RM2.6 billion political donation, Malaysians can finally take pride in some good news.
It seems the Malaysian sex drive continues unabated through all difficulties – political and economic alike – and we have emerged among the top ten countries in the world noted for a high sex drive, an article in Express UK revealed.
What are the 10 sexually hottest countries? Let’s start with No 10.
Mexico is No 10: Mexicans are among the world’s most sexually satisfied, a 2014 survey found. The young in particular have such overactive sex drives, that in 2008, the government took it upon themselves to distribute 700,000 copies of sex education books so teens could have sex responsibly.
Switzerland is No 9: A 2013 survey revealed 21 per cent rated their sex lives as ‘excellent’ while another 20 per cent liked having sex outside the confines of their bedroom or even house – yes, outdoors to be more precise. Not surprising for a population that enjoys legalised prostitution and takes a liberal view on pornography.
Spain is No 8: The city of Barcelona is said to be the most sexually-charged in the world, propped up by a culture that gives the nod to a healthy sex life.
Malaysia is No 7: Although traditionally conservative to the point of vehemently rejecting the prospect of sex education in schools, Malaysians have a high sex drive that they regularly put to good use between the sheets.
Italy Is No 6: Apparently not just young Italians enjoy sex. A recent poll found that 32 per cent of Italy’s seniors over 60 still have sex on a regular basis and make no bones about it.
Poland is No 5: Sex takes high priority in this country, what with annual Eroticon festivals that put on display the latest sex toys and playful mechanisms that promise to take the thrills of sex to new highs.
China is No 4: The population boom in China has been explained – they love sex. Apart from holding the annual “Sexpo”, China has opened 5,000 sex shops in Beijing alone in the last eight years. This should come as no surprise since 70 per cent of the world’s sex toys are manufactured in China.
Russia is No 3: Russian women are apparently the most sexually active in all of Europe, a survey reveals, having sex a remarkable 12 times on average every month.
Brazil is No 2: Sex is big in Brazil and their samba carnivals with its scantily-clad women (and men) gyrating to energetic, earthy music is proof of it. A 2014 survey found Brazilian lovers had the most stamina as well.
Greece is No 1: Even ancient Greeks enjoyed unbridled sex and this tradition lives on till today. A 2012 study found that the average Greek has sex 164 times a year and is adventurous in the bedroom, playing out sexual fantasies and role play as part of their sex acts.
