The new CBD bus network is designed to improve connections and reduce the number of buses in the centre of the CBD.
Buses in the city centre will operate predominantly along new priority routes on Elizabeth Street, Castlereagh Street, Park Street, Druitt Street, Clarence Street and York Street. No buses will operate on George St during or after the construction of the CBD & South East Light Rail.
Some existing services will be extended to serve Walsh Bay and Barangaroo. Other routes will terminate close to their entry point in the CBD, adjacent to other public transport options. This means there will be fewer buses in the core of the CBD, reducing congestion, and may require you to change to a bus, train or ferry service or walk further to reach your destination.
Major changes include:
- Routes 345, 448 , 998 and the 555 Free CBD shuttle no longer run.
- Routes 326 and 327 operating between Bondi Junction, Bellevue Hill and Edgecliff only.
- New Route 328 operating between Darling Point, Edgecliff and Bondi Junction.
- New cross-city bus routes traverse the city.
- Route 343 (formerly 273/343) – operating between Chatswood and Kingsford via North Sydney, the City and Rosebery.
- Route 440 (formerly 378/440)) – operating between Bronte and Rozelle via Bondi Junction, Paddington, Railway Square and Leichhardt.
- Route Route 389 (formerly 389/443) – operating between North Bondi and Pyrmont via Bondi Junction, Paddington, Darlinghurst and City.
The majority of bus routes in the CBD will change, with some stops being moved and/or renamed. There are also changes to stops at Parramatta Interchange and Rouse Hill Town Centre.

雪梨公交车网络面临数周考验 交通厅吁通勤者做好出行规划
虽然雪梨公交车运营时间表和路线进行大调整后，通过了周二早高峰的大考验，但新州政府警告道，雪梨的公交车网络未来几周依然面临严峻考验。
据《雪梨晨锋报》报导，虽然周二的公交车网络运营相对顺利，但交通厅长康斯坦斯表示，通勤者适应大调整还有很长的路要走。作为雪梨CBD主干道的乔治街已经禁止公交车通行，以建设轻轨线。
“未来几周的状况将比较艰难，”康斯坦斯说道，“由于我们禁止公交车经过乔治街、彻底调整了整个网络，市民还得花好几周才能适应新的节奏。周二早高峰的好结果并不意味着我们可以高枕无忧了。”
州长贝尔德反驳了政府过分强调公交网络调整对通勤时间和CBD道路拥堵状况的影响这种言论。“这是前所未见的调整，会给大家带来不便。当然，我们尽量将干扰减小到最低程度。”
据费尔法克斯媒体针对乘坐不同路线公交车进城的通勤者进行调查，大部分人不是对调整感到满意，就是觉得困惑。
交通部门的人员再次呼吁通勤者规划好行程。一般来说，公共假日后的第一个工作日，车流量都会相对较小。虽然周二避开了重大的拥堵状况，但交通部门依然处理了一辆公交车在Wynyard爆胎、海港隧道发生一起事故、一辆卡车撞上机场隧道一个洒水装置等事故。
CBD交通总协调员普伦德加斯特（Marg Prendergast）也警告道，周三的考验会更大，因为道路交通流量会增多。“我们认为周三将是真正的考验。”
她呼吁通勤者出行避开早晚高峰。“我们建议通勤者更新软件。有人用手机软件规划行程，别忘了更新路况。”
乔治街将在10月23日首次禁止汽车通行，因为Market和Park街道之间的路段将围起来进行施工。周三上午，部分行人在乔治街工地附近乱穿马路差点被车辆撞倒，普伦德加斯特警告行人要多加小心。
对于部分通勤者下车后选择走路到工作单位，避免被二次收费，康斯坦斯称只是换乘公交车的话不会被二次计费。定价部门也正在复审不同交通工具的计费模式，将于12月公布一份报告。

若是4人。。不搭公交, 搭德士的价位应该也可以接受吧? 目前看那里的公共交通资料 看到我很烦。。。@@ 月未出发 但还是脑袋空空。。 |

e.g: from Airport to darling harbour 一带的hotel
也可能在 darling harbour/the rock/chinatown/CBD 一带 走不动 就伸手拦cab..
上年纪了，有时很懒惰。。

cab要在cab站等，而不是随便伸手拦cab。
from Airport to darling harbour 一带的hotel ，就直接去cab站吧！

U 大。。 请问 sydney/Melb 若是钱不够,要换钱。。。是找money charge 还是一定要银行? 有没有手续费?
我会带一张 credit card standby.. but 有些地方未必接受卡。。所以还是 keep 换钱的地方/方式比较安心。
Btw..1.4k Aud for 10days(打算拿4个 day tour ~Aud600-700)...勉强够吧?

currency exchange可去Australia Post, shopping mall的currency counter和bank。有些charge 你fees 和commissions。至於多少，我不曉得。
1.4KAud for 10days是一人？hotel付费了？一人.勉强够

ya, 机票+hotel 都搞定了。
Melb day tour 给deposit 30罢了， 其他到时给cash..
Sydney day tour 打算到时才去chinatown 看看。
