More restricted zones added to Brisbane G20
Three extra Brisbane hotels have been added to the restricted zone for the G20 leaders' meeting in Brisbane in November as security begins to tighten six weeks out.
The public will also be restricted from South Bank Cultural Precinct for the entire Saturday of the conference on November 15.
That means no access to the Queensland Art Galley, the State Library of Queensland or the Gallery of Modern Art from that Saturday until the following Monday morning.

Extra restricted zones have been put in place at the road intersections surrounding the conference venue at South Brisbane from November 1 until November 17.
These cover short sections of Glenelg, Merivale, Melbourne, Russell and Hope streets at South Brisbane, effectively giving police the ability to prevent protests and protesters from getting close to the conference venue at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
They put restricted zones between Musgrave Park - an important indigenous site in Brisbane - and the conference venue.
The area of South Brisbane that will be out of bounds on Saturday, November 15.

Two extra Gold Coast hotels - the Surfers's Paradise Marriott and the Palazzo Versace - have also been added to the list of declared zones.
That means they will attract extra security, but the hotel guests are not exclusively linked to the G20.
The extra three Brisbane hotels added to the G20 restricted zone are Gambaro's Hotel on Caxton Street from November 14, the Intercontinental Hotel at Sanctuary Cove from November 9, and Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Brisbane from November 12.

The changes were announced by Queensland's deputy police commissioner Ross Barnett who said they had been approved by state cabinet this week.
He said the changes to South Bank - banning the public on Saturday - would be of less impact because the preceding Friday was a public holiday.
Deputy commissioner Barnett said the South Bank Cultural Precinct would be restricted for the public on the Friday and Saturday of the G20.
"Well the area will be 'declared' on the Friday, and 'restricted' on the Saturday," he said.
"But there won't be any of the usual activities going in the precinct on the Saturday."
Deputy commissioner Barnett told reporters that "four or five" protest groups were working with police to find ways of protesting during Novembers's G20.
He estimated there could be hundreds of protestors, but said it was difficult to judge how many because the situation was "fluid" so far out from the G20 conference.
Deputy Commissioner Barnett said there was no link between Australia's heightened security alert and Friday's changes.
"No, none at all," he said.
"All of requests were made to Cabinet a number of weeks ago, long before there was any change to the national security alert level, or any of the incidents that have happened since," he said.
He said police understood there could be protests from November 8, one week before the conference's formal agenda.
"Part of the reason why some of these changes are being made is because we have become aware that there could be a series of protests from November 8 onwards leading up to the G20 leaders summit on the following weekend," he said.
"So it is necessary to change the dates of the declared and restricted areas to accommodate the possibility of those protests occurring."
Formal accreditation from the Commonwealth Government is required to gain access to restricted areas, while in declared areas people can move through.
However in declared areas, police have additional powers to stop and search people and seize things they believe could become a threat.
"Generally however in a declared area you are free to do what you please, but in restricted areas, its 'No Go'," he said.
Inspector Barnett said police said most protesters "at the minute" were indigenous and environmental groups.
He said police anticipated some protestors may come from overseas, but said they had no specific information six weeks from the conference.
He said fencing would outline the restricted areas, but said footpaths would remain open.
"There may well be a fence on the edges of the road, stopping people walking across the road, but not walking down the footpath.
"It will be obvious that it is a restricrted area, there will be some signs. There will be a mimimum amount of fencing."
Small areas of Brisbane's airport and South Bank's Piazza have also been added to the restricted zone.
