维度探险呈献2013跨越大汉山25th May - 1st June, 2013

| 有兴趣者无需付钱可先去维度网址报名。3月3日槟城、中马、南马会同步主办负重训练预习。届时有兴趣者一定要参与,然后再向各区协调员咨询后才付费。 费用会较高其中的一个原因是徒步全程吃的米粮是冻干米饭。
 
 V2 Kembara : 2013 Gunung Tahan Expedition

 Route : Taman Negara Sungai Relau -> Kuala Juram  -> Kuala Tahan
 Distance : ~ 90km
 
 Expedition Fees:
 Depart from Penang:
 Male : RM900 ( Mandatory ~6kg Group Ration )
 Female : RM1250 ( Mandatory No Group Ration )
 
 Using Own Transport:
 Male : RM700 ( Mandatory ~6kg Group Ration )
 Female : RM1050 ( Mandatory No Group Ration )
 Note: Participants need to arrange own transportation to Taman Negara Sungai Relau, Merapoh and Kuala Tahan when expedition finish.
 
 Expediton fees will use for :
 -> Transportations from Penang to/fro Sungai Relau, Merapoh and Kuala Tahan
 -> 4WD to expedition starting point
 -> Taman Negara Sungai Relau ( Goverment's website for fees reference )

 camera
 porters
 chalet  stay at Kuala Tahan + dinner
 -> 3x meals and drinks(coffee or chocolate)over 7 days Expedition, exclude 1st day & 7th day lunch.(stove/gas usage included)
 -> 6 nights tents rental, refer link for tent specification ( Local Seller for Mobi Garden Tent )
 
 Participants must confirm your qualification with the expedition leader before make payment

 V2 Kemabara 2013 Gunung Tahan Itinerary :
 
 Day 1 25th May, Sat ( participants from Penang depart by bus on 24th   Fri 6am. camping at park )
 Take 4WD from Taman Negara Sungai Relau Park Centre.to Kuala Juram,278m (30 minutes),hike to Kor Camp 750m (5+ hrs).
 
 Day 2 26th May, Sun
 Hike to Botak Camp, 1933m (9+ hrs)
 
 Day 3 27th May, Mon
 Hike to TAHAN summit,2187m.(1.5hrs), descend to Padang camp,1650m (4hrs)
 
 Day 4 28th May, Tue
 Descend to Teku Camp, 280m (9+ hrs)
 
 Day 5 29th May, Wed
 Descend to Putih Camp, 137m (7+ hrs)
 
 Day 6 30th May, Thurs
 Hike to Melantai Camp 105m ( 7+ hrs)
 
 Day 7 31th May, Fri
 Hike to Kuala Tahan, 250m (5+ hrs), Overnight in Chalet, dinner included.
 
 Day 8 1st Jun, Sat
 12pm fr Kuala Tahan, Going Home!!!!
 
 
 Expedition Important Notes:
 -> Personal backpack weight approx 14kg without group ration. (If your backpack reaching 17kg, need to trim down)
 -> Tent mate will be swap every night,  to strengthen friendship between expeditionists and promote team spirit
 -> V2 Kembara will provide basic medicine, example: bees sting,  anti-inflammatory drug, panadol, plasters etc. However, you are encouraged to bring your own medicines for your own usage.
 -> V2 Kembara will bring along a satellite phone for emergencies.
 
 Expeditionists selection and training:
 -> There will be expeditionists selection carry out in March, male participants expect to carry 15kg load and 10kg for female participants. This selection will carry out in Penang/KL/Johor Bahru. Details of selection program will send out separately in V2 Kembara FB page.
 -> All qualified participants will require to go through Hike Together Training Program in month of April and May. This program will conducted in Penang/KL/Johor Bahru. Details of this program will send out separately in V2 Kembara FB page.
 
 Mandatory Personal Items During Expeditions:
 small towel
 sock / glove /head band (to keep warm at night. Botak camp site temperature may dip below 15 celcius during night)
 sweater/wing breaker/ jacket
 sport long pant
 sleeping bag
 one set of shirt & short
 sleeping mat
 personal medical items(paracetamol, bandage, plaster etc.)
 lighter
 sandals or kampong adidas or big head sandals(crocs/asadi), NO TEVA type sandal (injuries prompt)
 headlamp (LED)
 one pair of mess tin and plastic ware for lunch packing
 spoon/fork/cup for hot drinks
 large garbage plastic bag to wrap back pack at camp site
 raincoat
 whistle
 tooth brush & tooth paste(mini size)
 1 x 1.5litre personal drinking water
 1 x 1.5litre empty plastic bottle for group use
 
 Optional Items
 walking sticks
 soap
 must bring spare spectacles or contact lenses for those wearing one. ( you don’t want to walk in forest with blur vision)
 sunglasses
 hat
 
 
 Mandatory Personal Snacks and Emergency Foods:
 -> minimum 20 portions for every expeditionist
 -> example
 wheat bread
 peanut butter
 fruit jam/cake
 chocolate (high sugar type such as cloud 9/mars etc)
 instant noodles
 Brahim’s instant rice
 mix nuts
