　　《God of War III 》是以希臘神話為題材的動作遊戲《戰神》系列次世代最新作，承襲 PS2《God of War II》的故事，玩家將再度扮演原為斯巴達戰士的Kratos，以鎖鏈雙刀上窮碧落下黃泉，向背叛他的眾神展開血腥的復仇之戰。

　　與前作不同的是，《God of War III 》所要探討的主題不是『人類需要神』，而是因神與泰坦族為爭奪支配權不斷互相爭戰，而化為人間練獄的世界。

根据香港GAME WEEKLY的电玩太郎的推论说GOW3销量会不及UC2【2百60万】。
