在傳統印象中，統考生不外乎就是到中台新港，似乎沒其他地方可以去了

老实说，看到UC-Berkeley竟然在这么后面真的很意外，我很怀疑这个排名的可靠性。我记得这排名用了许多令人争议的指标，比如国际学生的比例，师生比，雇主平分等。这些都不能够反映学校的学术实力。反而是上海交大的排名我觉得比较可靠，因为他会用较学术性的指标，如刊登在重要学术期刊的数量，得诺贝而奖及其他重要领域奖项的数量等等。

上海交大以144名(Times)胜过56名的清华
南京以143名(Times)胜过50名的北大
我同样怀疑他的可靠性
绿色的连前600(Times)都没有，竟然可以8所进入前500(上海交大)

很多人觉得要考入学试是件“不好的事”
其实我觉得没什么啦，我有几位朋友拿到ICHO金银牌也是要考入学试才能进来化学系

先说声不好意思意思，因为我离题了，但严格来说这篇有讨论到升学，所以讨论大学排名并不算完全离题。

的确上海交大的排名会偏向中国的大学，就如Times Higher Education的会偏向英国的大学，美国的US News会偏向美国的大学一样。如果觉得用交大的排名会有bias的问题，这问题也同样出现在其他的排名上。

因此，我觉得应该把视线放在排名是用什么指标上。就如我上篇所说，我个人觉得用学术性的指标比较可靠，因为大学本身就是研究学术的地方。我是比较过Times Higher Education和交大的排名指标后，才会有这样的想法，并不因为我是交大的fans，或是在那里读书。所以我觉得重点是指标，因为这样才会有说服力。

请问你有看过两者是用什么指标或标准去排名吗？各指标所占的比例是多少你又知道吗？如果你有看过且有仔细想过，你或许你会明白为什么我说交大的指标比较有说服力，虽然他本身也是有争议的地方，比如交大的排名偏向英美的大学，且偏向以科学较强的学校，但总比着重于很subjective的指标的Times Higher Education来得有说服力。
