Downloading of v0.97 manual patch is available NOW!
We advise maplers to start downloading the provided manual patches earlier to avoid downloading congestion during or after the patch.
Please kindly refer our Download Page for the latest version on client downloading.
Note:
Please kindly take note to only start doing the manual patching after 10th November 2010, 0900hrs (+8 GMT) so as not to interrupt your game play before the Game Client Patch.
Instructions
1. After downloading the manual patch file, double-click on the patcher -> Select the folder where the game is installed.
2. For most users, the default folder is c:\program files\wizet\maplestory.
3. *If you receive an error (canvas.dll is corrupt), please download the new client.
4. *If you receive an error (maplestory.exe not found), please select the correct folder. |

Gold Richie who is 2nd richest person (other than Cai Shen) in MapleSEA is back! Get bonus EXP up to 13500 EXP PER ENTRY with the Gold Richie’s Treasure Map Event!
How to participate:
Obtain quest from NPC Cassandra. 
Collect the 20 each of following items from monsters:
Double Click the Blank Compass once you have gather all the required items to transform it into Gold Compass!
Double Click the Gold Compass between 8pm-10pm to go into the event map!
You will have 1 minute to stay inside the event map to hunt Golden Pig’s Egg! (Surprise awaits you when you open up the eggs!)
The best part is, upon entering the map, you will receive BONUS EXP!!!. Bonus EXP varies between your character level.
NOTE:
- There is a 7 minutes interval if you are going to enter event map for the second time or more.
- Minimum level requirement for this event is level 13.
- Quest is repeatable every 30 minutes to receive the Blank Compass from NPC Cassandra.

- Collect alphabets drop by monsters to make a full “Happy New Year"and talk to NPC Maple Administrator.
 - NPC Maple Administrator will reward you with a Devil Scroll.
 - Bring the Devil Scroll to NPC Chun Ji in Kerning or NPC Geanie in Ludibrium.
 - Fulfill their requests and they will decipher the devil scroll into a Magic Box
 filled with random treasures! - Bring the maigc box to NPC Mr Pickall in Kerning City to reveal the hidden treasure that is inside the magic box!
Curious to know what will be inside the mysterious Magic Box? Mr Pickall did reveal a few of the treasures as stated below.

Player can celebrate the “Lunar Year of Rabbit” with the majestic lion dance in MapleSEA! All they have to do is speak to Yuan Bao Fo conveniently located in most towns to travel to a special event map where the playful Dong Dong Chiang hides!
If you happen to miss Dong Dong Chiang to the early birds, do linger around and keep a sharp eye for it as it re-spawns after some time. Defeat the monster and celebrate the Chinese New Year special with special drops like local specialties and Maple weapons!

Game Service will be down during this period of time. Please logout before this period of time to prevent any game disruption.
The additional patch is required to fix disconnection issues that happened on 12th January 2011.
Reimbursement
All existing time based cash items will have their expiry date extend for 1 day (24 hours) more due to service downtime caused by multiple patch and server checks when game service resumed after the patch.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, Ace of Hearts is back to spread his love with everyone again!
Ace of Hearts
Gather all the essential ingredients as required by Ace of Heart to make a Heart Chocolate which contains a very special spell that works the same way as a safety charm.
With it you won’t lose any EXP when dying in the middle of the battle. It will be used up when you die or goes bad in 3 days. So make sure you put it to good use!
- Minimum level requirement for this event is level 8.
- Quest is repeatable from NPC Ace of Hearts every 1 hour.
That’s not all! Ace of Hearts is also able to enhance Heart Chocolate into a Chocolate Basket that will extend it’s magical powers for another 5 days!
But take note he is only able to enhance Heart Chocolate into a Chocolate Basket ONCE.
2. [System Event] Cupid’s Lost Arrows
(Event Period: 7/02/2011, 0000hrs – 06/03/2011, 2359hrs)
Cupid lost his arrows during Valentines’ Day! Look for NPC Cassandra to start the quest to gather Cupid’s lost arrows to save Valentines’ Day!
- Minimum level requirement for this event is level 8.
- Quest is repeatable from NPC Cassandra every 2 hours.
- Reward of Cupid Wings Cape will given once when you completed the quest for the first time.
- Subsequent rewards will be EXP base on character’s level.
3. [System Event] Valentine Roses Drop
(Event Period: 7/02/2011, 0000hrs – 06/03/2011, 2359hrs)
   
4 Valentine Roses are scattered around MapleSEA! Party up with your loved one and start hunting for it!
4. [System Event] Rock,Paper,Scissor!
(Event Period: 14/02/2011, 0000hrs – 13/03/2011, 2359hrs)
Approach NPC Rock, Paper, and Scissor Admin and challenge her to rounds of Rock, Paper and Scissor will allow you to obtain certificate of your win.
Collect certificates from 1 to 10 wins and exchange items with NPC Event Assistants, Jean or Paul for wonderful rewards!
5. [Gachapon] Valentine’s Day Chairs!
(Event Period: 9/02/2011, after server check – 23/02/2011, before server check)

What is Golden Temple?
The monsters inside Golden Temple offer more EXP and item drops than any other maps available! What’s more, there is a powerful boss for you to conquer! It will drop rare items, especially the Ravana Helmet!
How can I get to Golden Temple?
YOu can go to Golden Temple via Mirror of Dimension starting from 9th March 2011!
Golden Ticket is needed to go into the maps! Where can I get them?
A. Find Cassandra and complete the quest “Attracting Tourists to the Golden Temple” (Non-Repeatable)
B. Find PR Manager Mr. Yoo and complete the quest “Recycled Golden Ticket” (Repeatable once a day)
C. Purchase Golden Temple Invitation from Cash Shop and double click it. It will change to Premium Golden Ticket.
I am ready to challenge the Ravana Boss!
5 Sunburst and a party of minimum 2 players are required to enter the boss map.
To collect sunburst, you are required to eliminate the monsters in the Monkey Temples and Goblin Caves of the Golden Temple.
Difficulty of the Ravana Boss will be adjusted automatically according to the average level of the party members. According to the difficulty, various equipments, pieces of time, Ravana Helmet will be dropped.
