这个句子里,"I" 认为说假设他没跌倒的话 ( if i hadn't fallen over),他是会赢的。
Conditional clause
If I had + past participle ,
If I hadn't + past participle,
If we had + + past participle,
If we hadn't + + past participle.
and so on....... |

If ... had + [过去分词]..., ... would have + [过去分词] ...
例: If I had known that you were sick, I would have gone to see you.
I didn't know you were sick, so I didn't go to see you.
.............................
I could have won if I didn't fall over.
I could have won = I would have been able to win,
if I didn't fall over 该改为 if I hadn't fallen over.
I could have won if I hadn't fallen over.
(= I would have been able to win if I hadn't fallen over.)
I didn't win because I fell over.

Cambridge:
he
Many people do not like the use of he to refer to a person whose sex is not known, as it seems unfair to women. Instead, they prefer to use they.
Whoever it is, I don't want to see them.
Longman:
they
used when talking about someone who may be male or female, to avoid saying 'he or she':If anyone has any information related to the crime, will they please contact the police.
Every child, whoever they are, deserves to have a mum and a dad.
Longman/Grammar:
You can use they, them, and their to refer to a single person when you do not want to show that the person is male or female. People do this because they want to avoid suggesting that the person can only be male, or using longer expressions such as 'he or she', 'him or her' etc
• If anyone doesn't like it, they can leave.
• When a friend upsets you, do you tell them?
• Someone has left their coat. This use is acceptable and very common in speech, and is becoming more acceptable in writing as well.
However, some people consider this use to be incorrect. You can sometimes avoid the problem by making the subject plural
• If people don't like it, they can leave.
• When friends upset you, do you tell them?

Who is it? |
