NEW DEAL FOR VAN AANHOLT

Left-back Patrick van Aanholt has today (Monday) signed a new four-year contract.
The 20-year-old scored against Newcastle in the Carling Cup during his first start for the club back in September, having made his debut as a substitute in 2009/10.
He made three starts in total and five sub appearances before moving to Leicester on loan in January where he made 12 appearances for Sven Goran Eriksson's side, scoring once.
The Dutch Under 21 international joined Chelsea in July 2007 and has also had loan spells at Coventry and Newcastle.
Chelsea youngsters Josh McEachran and Ryan Bertrand sign new deals
Promising midfielder puts pen to paper on a new five-year deal while left-back agrees a new four-year contract as the club tie down the young stars for the future
The duo have committed their futures to the club, with McEachran signing for five years and Bertrand four.
This marks the first activity since new manager Andre Villas-Boas took charge, with the Portuguese boss acting quickly to secure the futures of two of the club's brightest homegrown talents.
For McEachran, his new deal continues his impressive rise through the Chelsea ranks as he looks to build upon his breakthrough season.
The 18-year-old is seen as one of the best young talents in English football and is expected to have a big future ahead of him.
He made his debut in a Champions League as a substitute in September, but did not start his first league game until the final home match against Newcastle.
In total, he has made 17 appearances for the club, with 13 of those coming from the bench.
The midfielder was part of the FA Youth Cup winning side of 2010 and was last season named the club's Young Player of the Year.
Speaking to Chelsea's official website, McEachran said: "It is good to be offered this sort of contract. It is what I wished for when I was a kid and hopefully I will spend my career at Chelsea.
"I have wanted to do that since I was a kid, since I joined when I was eight years old. It will be good if I do but I need to keep working.
"This season my target is just to play more minutes. Hopefully I will play more games and keep improving."
Bertrand has taken a different route to McEachran, spending most of his career on loan at a number of clubs, including Norwich and Nottingham Forest.
The left-back has struggled to find his way into the first team as he has been behind both Ashley Cole and Yuri Zhirkov in the pecking order.
His only appearance came as a substitute against Birmingham in April, but he is hoping to get more minutes under his belt this season.
"It's a big commitment, I see the club going in the right direction," said the former Gillingham player."I want to stay here, it's the reason I came here six years ago and it's refreshing to have the new manager come in. I'm looking forward to listening and learning from him."I can see the manager is young and hungry and wants to take the club forward so I want to be part of that and I thought it was best for me to stay."Obviously Ashley [Cole] is number one left- back but hopefully I can get a game here and there."It gave me a lot of confidence that I can play for Chelsea and I'm aiming to get a few more games. I hope to stay here this season and hopefully catch the manager's eye."Both players reported back to Stamford Bridge following disappointing summer campaigns with the national team. McEachran injured his hamstring with the under-19 squad and Bertrand was part of the under-21 side who failed to get past the group stage in the European championships.
