（吉隆坡14日讯）马来西亚国家羽球队教练烈西表示，大马女队在尤泊杯小组赛先碰印度，是出线关键。　

“如果大马赢了印度，那麼复赛很可能碰上新加坡，输了复赛很可能要打韩国。”　

纸上谈兵，新加坡比韩国容易打，不过凡事没有绝对，首战对印度就是一场关键战，赢了才能带动团队势气，为接下来的比赛打好基础，不管下来的对手是谁，大马至少有一场胜仗壮胆。　

印度娘子军是由目前世界排名第29的赛娜妮威打头阵，根据交手纪录，大马一姐黄妙珠曾两度战胜对手。　

烈西表示：“从排名到整体交手形势，大马都占上风，可是团体赛的压力跟平时不一样，所以临场表现最重要。”　

大马上一次出线，是在2004年，当时汤尤杯入选赛是在吉隆坡举行，大马也是在小组战胜印度，为出线打下基础。　

排阵占上风　

大马在上一届错失晋级良机，今年是烈西首次带领女队出战尤杯入选赛。不过烈西拒绝针对选手的个别状态进行分析。　

“针对选手的备战状况和强弱点，今后我都不会在媒体上公开讲，这样对手就能够从中收集情报，这对我们自己的选手很不利。”　

“我们从过却的经验中得到教训，有些事情是不能对外公布。”　

大马队除了黄妙珠，其他尤杯成员包括黄佩娴、安妮塔、谢丽雅、女双陈仪慧与黄佩蒂、林碧霞与侯秋慧、黄惠龄与吴柳莹。　

黄佩娴目前世排名第32，印度第2女单慕格迪排第60，根据世界羽联交手纪录，佩娴在过去两次交手都打败对方。　

拒透露军情　

第三单打安妮塔与世界排名第92的印度对手，从未交过手。　

大马在女双的优势更加明显，印度女双最高排名第28的贾娃与古达，而世界第9拍档陈仪慧与黄佩蒂过去两次都击败对手。　

第2女双阿芭娜与塞娜世界排名第233，从排阵来看，大马全面处于上风。　


男队出线不难　
腾福万华最后一击　
羽球老将钟腾福与李万华，很可能是最后一次出战汤姆斯杯入选赛，压力不大，但感触颇多。　

钟腾福表示，他从1996年代表大马汤杯队，到2006年为止共6次在决赛圈亮相：“汤杯入选赛出线不成问题，我和拍档希望能够在参加全英赛之前，打几场好球，为下来的比赛做好准备。”　

大马汤尤杯对手不强，由于中国、印尼都直接晋级，最主要的对手只剩韩国。　

李万华表示：“我想这很可能是我最后一次，代表大马出战汤杯入选赛，而我们今年的最重大目标是北京奥运。”　

李万华与钟腾福已参加过两届奥运，第1次是2000年在悉尼，在铜牌战败给了李东秀和柳镛成，04年雅典奥运也在复赛输给同一支韩国拍档。　

钟腾福说：“我觉得目前在争取积分的同时，也要好好照顾身体，毕竟我们年纪都大了，如果受伤而影响表现，那就非常可惜。”　

因而钟腾福也在此，祝福中国报全体读者身体健康，新年快乐。

Badminton: BAM owes players RM1.5mil in bonuses

THE BA of Malaysia (BAM) may be one of the richest national sports associations but it is struggling to pay the players their world ranking, presidential and match bonuses.


As a result, the BAM owes the shuttlers RM1.5 million since last year. Previously, it was paying RM400,000 a year in bonuses to players.

Ironically, the national body has been put in a spot by the marked improvement of the players.

BAM president Datuk Nadzmi Salleh said the management is making efforts to resolve the issue.

World No 2 singles Lee Chong Wei is supposed to get the biggest individual amount as his achievements entitled him to RM250,000 while world No 3 doubles Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong should get RM400,000.

BAM secretary P. Ganga Rao, in a telephone interview from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, yesterday assured that the players will be paid their dues in full before the Thomas Cup Finals in May.

"The payment on world ranking, match and presidential bonuses started ballooning last year because of the outstanding results of the players who won a total of 11 titles. This has amounted close to RM1.5 million," said Ganga.

"We used to pay out about RM400,000 previously but the rise in the world ranking of our players was encouraging.

"The sponsors have been fulfilling their obligations but our training and tournament cost, salaries of coaches and allowances of players have also significantly increased.

"We have been working with some new sponsors and we assure that the players will get full payout on all their outstanding amounts before they leave for Jakarta to compete in the Thomas Cup Finals in May.

"The sponsors are coming in but they will only do so after seeing our results and we have to initially bear it."

Ganga added that BAM's burden has increased after the National Sports Council's (NSC) decision to slash the players' allowance as the association now has to top it up, which amounts to about RM400,000 this year.

This, said Ganga, will increase the cost of coaches' salaries and players' allowances to more than RM2 million a year while the training and competition cost is expected to hit more than RM2.5 million this year.

The expenses for the next two Super Series events -- the All England on March 4-9 and the Swiss Open on March 11-16 -- are expected to cost BAM close to RM300,000.

Ganga said while the response from sponsors has been good, BAM must also start re-evaluating its financial strength for the future.

At the moment, BAM receives RM2.5 million from Proton and RM1.3 million from Yonex annually while NSC contributes about RM2.5 million for the elite programme.

BAM also earns RM1.2 million a year by renting out its premises to Sekolah Sri Garden in Taman Maluri.

Negotiations with several sponsors are almost secured and the fund generated from these deals are likely to help the association settle the players' bonuses.

（吉隆坡23日訊）大馬羽球總會面對財務問題，以致拖欠選手高達150萬令吉！
這筆款項已拖欠一年，主要來自選手的排名獎勵，過去這方面的開支為40萬令吉，但隨著選手排名步步高升，羽總的欠款累績到150萬。

大馬羽球總會會長拿督納茲米受訪時表示，領導層正想辦法解決問題。

世界第2高手李宗偉是被欠最多的選手、下來是全英賽、亞運會冠軍古健杰與陳文宏，共有6位數的排名花紅尚未到手。

羽球總會秘書岡加拉奧在越南接受本地一家英文報的電話訪問中指出：“去年國家隊成績突然暴升，總共獲得11個國際賽冠軍，因而獎勵金也隨之暴漲，已達到150萬令吉。”

他說：“以往羽總在這方面的開銷，大約只有40萬令吉。”

與新贊助商洽談中

無論如何，據了解球員被拖欠獎勵金的事，由來已久，只是以前數目較小，而且時間也沒有拖得這么長。

岡加拉奧說：“贊助商已經執行了任務，只是我們也有很多開支，包括比賽、教練薪水、球員津貼在內的支出已經增加了不少。”

“我們已經和新贊助商洽談中，並確保選手能夠在出征耶加達湯、尤盃之前，得到這些欠款。”

“是有新贊助商進來，但他們也要觀察選手的成績，因此現階段只有等待。”

岡加也說，球員將在5月湯姆斯盃與尤泊盃決賽圈之前，獲得這筆錢。

除了排名及成績獎金，岡加也指出，隨著國家體育理事會削減選手津貼，大馬羽總必須另外墊出津貼來補助選手，這些額外支出大約40萬令吉。

他說，這么一來，教練薪水和球員津貼開支總共高達200萬令吉一年，訓練和出賽約250萬。

單單是派隊參加全英賽（3月4日至9日）、瑞士公開賽（3月11至16日），就高達30萬令吉。

岡加拉奧說，到目前為止，贊助商都有履行各自的義務，但羽總未來必須加強財務支援。

目前羽總從普騰處獲得250萬，體育品牌尤聶士有130萬，而國家體育理事會250萬令吉的精英計劃撥款。

大馬羽總每年也從馬魯里的斯里加登國際學校租金中，獲得120萬的年收入。

（吉隆坡23日訊）大馬羽球總會雖然是國內最富有的體育團體之一，但卻因高昂的獎勵制度而變成「負債總會」。

大馬羽總目前拖欠球員高達150萬令吉的獎勵，主要包括獎勵世界前列排名球員，以及一部分為獎勵國際賽冠軍得主。

其中，世界第二男單李宗偉是大馬羽總最大的債主，共被拖欠25萬令吉，而世界第三男雙古健杰與陳文宏也有40萬令吉的「債券」。

無論如何，羽總會長拿督納茲米表態會解決這個財務問題，而秘書岡加也承諾羽總會在5月份的印尼雅加達湯杯決賽圈前，付清欠款予球員們。

岡加透露由于大馬球員在去年表現非常出色，摘下11個國際賽冠軍，所以連帶世界排名也狂飆，因此馬羽總2006年只需付40萬令吉，但在2007年卻必須付出150萬令吉，升幅接近300%！

「此外， 訓練以及參賽費用、教練團的薪金等等都在增加，造成我們入不敷出。」

「無論如何，我們已接洽著一些新的贊助商，但他們必須看到我們在接下來交出好成績后，才決定贊助我們。」

「我們的開銷非常大，單單下個月參加兩項歐洲超級系列賽事——全英賽和瑞士賽就得花費高達30萬令吉。」

大馬羽總的收入除了本報日前披露的380萬令吉贊助費外（普騰Proton250萬令吉；尤聶斯Yonex130萬令吉），還包括大馬體育理事會支付的250萬令吉國家隊培訓經費以及羽總本身從租借賽館獲得的120萬令吉營利。

Badminton: Rashid wants more pay for Project squad

[table=200][/table]His latest request - that the BA of Malaysia (BAM) increase the allowances of his charges in the 2010-2012 Project squad as they have been in the programme for more than two years.

Currently, the players receive a monthly allowance of RM500 and Rashid, who raised the issue just before leaving for Ho Chi Minh City for the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup Asian Zone qualifying rounds last week, said the players have struggled with this minimum amount.

Except for Julia Wong and Anita Raj, who receive RM1,000 a month after having played for Malaysia in senior team events, Rashid feels that RM500 is hardly sufficient for them to survive nowadays.

"I know the players have not been producing exceptional results but they have been improving. Some of them have been with the team for two years. They deserve a little bit better," said Rashid.

"I have raised this matter with BAM and, hopefully, they will consider increasing the allowance by taking the players' welfare into account.

"It doesn't have to be a huge sum but an increase of at least RM500 will do. Sparring partners are paid higher and I strongly believe the Project squad players should get a better deal."

Rashid has more than 30 players in his squad and he fears some may opt to leave when their contracts expire in June to look for better salary in private clubs and KLRC Bhd will be a popular destination.

BAM pay sparring partners between RM1,300 and RM1,800 depending on whether their roles are full-time or part-time.

However, BAM secretary P. Ganga Rao has assured that the matter will be resolved and the association will most likely top up the allowances.

BAM is currently in a tight spot trying to settle the hefty sum of RM1.5 million it owes to national players from world ranking, presidential and match bonuses which is expected to be paid by May, and this is likely to be followed by the increase of allowances for the Project 2010-2012 squad players.

Badminton: Race is still on, says Rexy

KUALA LUMPUR: The race for the men’s doubles third slot in the Thomas Cup Finals is still wide open.

National doubles coach Rexy Mainaky wants to use the back-to-back tournaments in Europe – the All-England and Swiss Open – to pick the country’s third pair.  

The All-England begins in Birmingham next Wednesday.

Rexy said it was time that the doubles players proved they were good enough to be selected for the premier team event, which will be held in Jakarta from May 11-19.  

Malaysia are looking at naming four men’s singles players and three men’s pairs for the Finals.

“For now, no one is assured of his place (for the Finals) although the current top two pairs look good for their places. And the third slot, especially, is still an open race,” said Rexy.

“I have to be fair to the other players. They will be considered if then can achieve good results in Europe. This is their chance to show me that they deserve to be in the team.”

Currently, the top two pairs are world No. 3 Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong and world No. 4 Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah.

Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif-Mohd Faizuzizuan Mohd Tazari could have strengthened their grip on the third doubles slot at the recent Thomas Cup qualifiers but they blew their chances after losing to the scratch partnership of Park Sung-hwan-Hwang Ji-man during the tie against South Korea in the final.  

The others in the running for the third slot are Gan Teik Chai-Woon Lin Fui and Ong Soon Hock-Tan Bin Shen.

Soon Hock-Bin Shen quit the national team last month but returned a week later after the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) promised them better tournament opportunities in the future.

All five pairs will be competing in the All-England, with defending champions Kien Keat-Boon Heong having the best chance to go the furthest.

Zakry-Fairuzizuan will play Denmark’s Mathias Boe-Carsten Morgensen in the opening round; Teik Chai-Woon Fui are expected to face China’s Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng in the second round; Bin Shen-Soon Hock are likely to take on two-time All-England runners-up Tan Fook-Wan Wah in the second round.

Two other pairs with an outside chance of stealing the third doubles slot are Chan Chong Ming-Chew Choon Eng and Hoon Thien How-Tan Wee Kiong.

These two pairs did not make it to the All-England because of their low world rankings, a result of their new partnerships.

“It will be great if one of our pairs can win the All-England title. But what is more important to me is for them to perform just as how they have been doing in training,” said Rexy.  

Rexy, Kien Keat-Boon Heong, national singles coach Misbun Sidek and top men’s singles shuttler Lee Chong Wei left for Birmingham yesterday.

　　新浪体育讯　本周三，全英羽毛球公开赛将在英国伯明翰开拍。对于中国来说相对较弱的男双，也成为各路诸强力拼的夺金点。北京时间3月3日，马来西亚男双选手颜德财表示，他与搭档林文辉将有可能在第二轮比赛时就遇到蔡赟/傅海峰，到时他们将尽全力击败蔡傅这对世界排名第一的选手。

　　颜德财自去年4月份与林文辉配对，此前他的最好成绩是在与拉蒂夫搭档时，杀进了2006年全英赛的男双半决赛。而与林文辉搭档后，他们取得的最好成绩是去年泰国公开赛的半决赛。颜德财表示，他和林文辉都希望能够在全英赛上击败现世界第一蔡赟/傅海峰。

　　目前颜德财/林文辉的男双世界排名仅列第30位，是什么给了颜德财如此巨大的信心来挑战世界第一呢？颜德财毫无保留地表示，虽然自己还没有战胜过蔡傅，但搭档林文辉曾与塔扎里配对，分别在2005年新加坡公开赛、2006年全英公开赛和世界杯赛上三次击败蔡傅。更重要的是，目前马来西亚的几对男双组合古健杰/陈文宏、钟腾福/李万华、塔扎里/拉蒂夫和陈斌生/王顺福，都有击败蔡傅的经验。颜德财将之称为“击败世界冠军俱乐部”，而现在，他也很想加入这个俱乐部。

　　在即将开战的全英赛男双分组形势上，颜德财/林文辉与古健杰/陈文宏是同一半区，同半区的还有跨国组合吴俊明\陈甲亮和丹麦的两对组合埃里克森/汉森和帕斯克/拉斯姆森。而蔡赟/傅海峰是这一半区的卫冕冠军。

　　马来西亚其他三组合钟腾福/李万华，塔扎里/拉蒂夫和陈斌生/王顺福在另一个半区，同区的还有世锦赛冠军印尼组合基多/塞蒂亚万和韩国组合郑在成/李龙大。

他们连自家球员的名字都可以搞错，自作聪明翻译别国球员的名字一点也不稀奇咯。 可能他们一路来让我 已经是惯性，所以好象没什么感觉了。
