我虽然不是WCT的员工，
对于我的大老板 - WCT的 chairman很有信心，
所以无论它的股价的浮动频率如何，

Subject	:	UPDATES ON THE CANCELLATION OF THE NAD AL SHEBA DUBAI RACECOURSE CONTRACT
Contents	:	Reference is made to the Company’s announcement dated 6th January 2009 pertaining to the cancellation of the Contract (“Contract”) relating to the construction and completion of the main building works, external works and infrastructure works (“Cancellation”) of the Nad Al-Sheba Racecourse Project by Meydan L.L.C. (“Meydan”) which was awarded to the 50:50 joint venture between the Company and Arabtec Construction L.L.C. (“JV”).
Announcement Details : In the aforementioned announcement, the Company had stated that subsequent to the Cancellation, Meydan had called on the performance bond and advance payment bond provided by the JV, which call the JV is contesting. It was further announced that, through the JV, the Company is currently considering all its options and will take the necessary steps to protect the Group’s interests. The Company wishes to update the status of the above as follows:- (1) The Company has, jointly with Arabtec Construction LLC, instituted a civil suit and initiated the arbitration process in Dubai against Meydan for breach of contract and to enforce the JV’s rights and remedies, including the recovery of all amounts due under the Contract as well as damages. (2) The JV’s lawyers, vide a letter dated 23rd February 2009 to the JV (a copy of which was received by WCT Berhad on 24 February 2009), confirmed that the Request for Arbitration has been served by the JV against Meydan on 11 January 2009 at the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (“DIAC”) and that the JV has nominated its arbitrator. (3) By a letter dated 25 February 2009 from Meydan’s lawyers, a copy of which was received yesterday evening by WCT Berhad, Meydan has also nominated their arbitrator. (4) In its Request for Arbitration, the JV had submitted a summary of the dispute along with the description of the claims totalling approximately AED1.69 billion plus other sums which have yet to be quantified. The Company will continue to take all necessary steps to protect the Group’s interests.
