已经征战联盟14年的犹他爵士的铁血前锋马特·哈普林已经决定不会参加球队本赛季的所有比赛，而爵士队也于日前宣布了这一消息。

由于受到伤病影响，哈普林甚至在本赛季开始的时候，有过退役的打算，但是最终，合同还剩一年的他，放弃了退役选择了养伤。虽然没有办法打球，但是哈普林并没有打算就此告别篮球。

据悉，哈普林现在的身份是盐湖城当地电台的比赛分析员，他将与大卫·洛克一同解说爵士的比赛。

德隆布泽尔威力尽显 犹他双煞令湖人不再猖狂

洛杉矶湖人奔赴能源解决中心挑战犹他爵士。此战前湖人战绩为18胜3负，而爵士战绩则为13胜9负。在本场比赛中爵士双煞德隆-威廉姆斯和卡洛斯-布泽尔展现出强大战力，前者全场砍下了21分和11次助攻，后者则有12分8个篮板和7次助攻的准三双入账，在两人的合力发挥和爵士其他球员的出色表现下，爵士以102-94击溃湖人终止了对手的十一连胜。

虽然半场下来8投6中砍下16分如有神助的维斯利-马特鲁斯完全抢走了犹他双煞的风头，不过这并没有阻碍布泽尔和威廉姆斯继续他们的出色表现。上半场结束后威廉姆斯和布泽尔合计13投7中拿下了20分5个篮板和10次助攻以及3次抢断，在比赛中充分的发挥了挡拆战术的威力，打出了相当完美的内外配合。因为威廉姆斯和布泽尔出色的传球意识，爵士在比赛中的发挥颇为高效，这也是球队上半场下来59-53能够压制对手领先6分，没有再让11连胜的湖人继续猖狂的原因。

本赛季至今为止，布泽尔场均能够砍下20.7分和11.1个篮板外加3.5次助攻和1.1次抢断，已经重新回归联盟顶级大前锋的行列，他也是联盟中除了克里斯-波什之外唯一一个场均能够得到20分和10个篮板以上的数据的球星。而威廉姆斯不知不觉当中也将自己的数据提升到了场均19.5分和10.1次助攻，距离“20+10”也已经为时不远，在和史蒂夫-纳什，克里斯-保罗的竞争中实际上并没有落于下风。犹他双煞数据方面相当令人欣喜的同时两人在场上的表现也显得日益默契，布泽尔在助攻方面越来越显得游刃有余，而威廉姆斯则不断的增强着自己的进攻端侵略性。当犹他双煞爆发的比赛中，几乎没有球队能够在他们面前有所表现，这也成为了爵士开局不佳但此后日趋奋勇的首要因素。

当布泽尔在前三节尽显全面技术的情况下，第四节当中威廉姆斯开局连砍8分独力打出了8-0的进攻高潮，几乎直接为球队锁定了胜局，这也让布泽尔没有继续让自己的数据获得增加的机会。另一方面由于科比的频繁强攻让威廉姆斯最后时刻的几次出手选择有些糟糕，这也让他的投篮命中率不足五成。不过能够战胜如此强大的对手，犹他双煞还有必要在乎他们数据方面略微的缺失么？

Jazz end Lakers' 11-game win streak

SALT LAKE CITY (NBA.com exclusive) -- After getting embarrassed in playing one of their worst quarters in franchise history against the Lakers on Wednesday night, the Utah Jazz were looking for a little redemption in Saturday's rematch.
They got it, thanks to unselfish play on offense, big boosts from rookie Wesley Matthews and Ronnie Brewer and little resistance from Kobe Bryant, who was playing at less than 100 percent. The Jazz took the lead for good in the second quarter and pulled away to a 102-94 win on Saturday night.
"I thought our guys played extremely hard," said Jazz coach Jerry Sloan. "We made a few mistakes, but everyone got involved and we passed the ball and did a good job of trying to find the open man. It was just a great win for us." Utah (14-9) was highly motivated to earn some payback against Los Angeles (18-4) after losing to the Lakers 101-77 on Wednesday night. The Jazz scored just six points in the fourth quarter of that game on 2-for-18 shooting. It was the worst fourth quarter in franchise history and second-worst quarter ever for Utah.
"We needed to get this back," Matthews said. "We're a team full of competitors. We felt embarrassed, scoring only six points in a quarter and they were able to do whatever they wanted against us."
The Jazz turned the tables on the Lakers on Saturday, ending Los Angeles' 11-game winning streak, with Matthews playing a key role. He scored a career-high 19 points and dished six assists. He scored 13 of his points in the first quarter with Ron Artest sagging off of him, letting him shoot jumpers.
"You got to [take shots when you're open]," Matthews said. "If I start passing them up then I just start putting more pressure on my team. They were finding me when I was open. I was just shooting it and playing ball."
As were the rest of the Jazz. Utah made 40 shots against Los Angeles and 29 of them were assisted. Deron Williams led the team with 11 assists and forward Carlos Boozer chipped in seven of them. Williams led a balanced scoring effort with 21 points.
"That (the 29 assists) to me is playing, trying to help each other, not worrying about how many points somebody gets," Sloan said.
The Jazz knew Bryant wasn't his usual self, but they still paid plenty of attention to him. Bryant had two ailments to deal with. Already slowed after suffering an avulsion fracture on his right index finger in the Lakers' win over the Timberwolves on Friday, Bryant arrived late to Saturday's game because he had an upset stomach. He had an IV to get some fluids in him before the game started.

Flynn's shot secures Wolves' upset win over Jazz

SALT LAKE CITY (NBA.com exclusive) -- He's only a rookie, but it wasn't an unfamiliar situation for Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jonny Flynn. With the game tied and his team needing a go-ahead shot in the final seconds, Flynn had the ball in his hands. He had converted in these types of scenarios in high school and college, but this was his first opportunity to do it in an NBA game.
Flynn delivered. He scored on a driving layup with three seconds remaining to give Minnesota a stunning 110-108 win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night. It was the second time the Timberwolves (4-21) have defeated the Jazz (14-10) in 10 days. Minnesota has beat Utah three straight times dating back to last season.
"I want the ball in those situations," Flynn said. "I grew up always being that guy, taking those last shots and I'm glad I could help the team out."
Flynn helped his team out throughout the night, scoring a career-high 28 points with a career-high four 3-pointers. He had 19 of his points in the first half.
Flynn did exactly what Timberwolves coach Kurt Rambis wanted him to do on Minnesota's final possession and made the correct read to get to the basket. He held the ball until there were five seconds left on the shot clock, and then made his move to the hoop. Forward Kevin Love set a screen on Deron Williams and Flynn waited to see if Jazz rookie Wesley Matthews would make a move toward him or stay home.
Matthews stayed home, and Flynn sank the game-winning shot from just a couple feet away from the basket.
"I was just looking for him to create," Rambis said. "I feel that at some point in time in the future that he's going to be one of those guys that's going to be very difficult to contain either in isolation situations or pick-n-roll situations. This entire season and one or two after are going to be growing up periods for him, so I want to give him those opportunities to see what he can do in those late-game situations and he delivered for us tonight."
Flynn didn't waste any time in being the guy for Minnesota. The Timberwolves jumped out to a 17-8 lead, thanks to three 3-pointers from Flynn and 5-for-7 shooting overall. It was just the start Minnesota needed against Utah, which defeated the Spurs, Magic and Lakers in a span of six days last week.
"Jonny had one hell of a game tonight," said Minnesota center Al Jefferson. "I am really proud of him."
The Timberwolves were also proud to pull off one of the more surprising results so far this NBA season. Minnesota was without starter Ryan Gomes, who sat out after injuring his knee against Sacramento on Saturday. He scored 23 points on 9-for-10 shooting in the first meeting between the two teams on Dec. 5.
Minnesota made up for Gomes' absence with Flynn's scoring and better effort and energy than Utah. The Timberwolves collected twice as many offensive rebounds (14-7) as the Jazz, which is usually one of Utah's strengths. Minnesota had 18 second-chance points, compared to just five for the Jazz. The Timberwolves also had nine steals.
"They could have beaten a lot of teams tonight," Jazz coach Jerry Sloan said of the Timberwolves. "They beat us down the floor, they drove to the basket and we had a tough time rebounding. Any time those kinds of things happen it doesn't matter what color the uniform is, you're going to get beat."

Jazz seek answers on road, find Nets at home

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (NBA.com exclusive) -- It was a chance for the Nets to find themselves at home or for the Jazz to find themselves on the road.
And after Utah's easy 108-92 win on Wednesday night at the Izod Center, it was effortlessly determined that New Jersey was decidedly more lost in its search for self-discovery.
The Nets, behind 14 of 45 shooting through the second and third quarters, fell to 2-24, while the Jazz, sparked by Deron Williams' 20 points and 14 assists and Carlos Boozer's 26 points and 10 rebounds, got off to a strong start to their annual pre-Christmas road trip.
Playmaking was the difference for both sides. The Jazz had 31 assists -- compared to the Nets' 19 -- and scored 25 points on the break, compared to seven for New Jersey.
"Our lapses tonight were in transition," said Nets point guard Devin Harris, who was just 1-for-9 from the field for his nine points. "At the turnovers, we didn't get back.
"With a team like this, they attack you so well, they get the ball in the paint with all of their movement. They're a great passing team and you've got to have long stretches where you're in tune defensively and we tonight we just didn't bring that type of intensity as far as defensively."
Utah, now 15-10, had posted positive home wins against San Antonio, Orlando and the Lakers last week, only to lose to the struggling Timberwolves on Monday at home before embarking on this five-game road trip. In fact, Minnesota has chalked up two of its four wins against the Jazz this season, causing Boozer to wonder aloud "How come we can't get up for Minnesota, but we can get up for everybody else?"
"We learned our lesson," Boozer said. "This game was a good test for us to carry us on to the next one."
From here, Utah travels to Atlanta, Charlotte, Orlando and Miami before Christmas Day.
"We just didn't want to start this road trip off bad," Williams added.

ATLANTA (NBA.com exclusive) -- The weather outside was frightful, and inside Philips Arena on Friday night, the Jazz weren't any prettier as the Hawks rolled to a 96-83 win that was nowhere near close after halftime.
Defensively, the Hawks were something to see -- unless you happened to be Deron Williams or Carlos Boozer. The Jazz stars may have visions of switching Hawks dancing in their heads for some time. It was so bad for Utah that Williams said he's sorry.
Atlanta blew open a predictably tight and ugly game with a 37-17 third quarter to take a 81-51 lead into the final period.
Williams scored two points, and Boozer six. They were averaging 20.4 and 20.3, respectively. Williams made 1-for-8 shots, and Boozer 2-for-7. Each committed four of Utah's 23 turnovers, and Atlanta's athleticism was equitable with the day-long cold rain in Atlanta.
"They played great defense, and they packed the lane and switched on every play," Boozer said of what amounted to a great deal of zone defense by the Hawks. "They had a lot of steals ... they're one of the fastest teams in the league at every position. They showed that tonight."
Utah's legendary pick-and-roll offense was more like thump-and-clank as the Hawks endeavored to match the Jazz's physicality and succeeded handsomely. The Jazz had 23 turnovers, leading to 24 Atlanta points.
The Hawks were so balanced that only one starter (Marvin Williams for just 2:39) played in the fourth. Josh Smith led Atlanta with a modest 16 points. Smith added five steals and two blocks while admitting defense figures to be the key if the Hawks are going to improve upon last season's fourth-place finish in the East. They lead the Magic by half a game the Southeast.
"We were making it hard for them to catch, playing passing lanes," Smith said. "We're still a little raw at it, but if we keep doing what we know we're supposed to do, we'll be fine. We just got up and made it hard for them to run their plays. We clogged the paint, and got out and got some easy points."

Boozer, Williams lead Jazz past Bobcats

CHARLOTTE (NBA.com exclusive) -- The Utah Jazz showed how effective a good inside-out combination can be as they downed the Charlotte Bobcats 110-102 Saturday at Time Warner Cable Arena.
The Jazz saw the tandem of Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer start the game and score 23 and 22 points respectively. When that duo needed a rest they were comfortably replaced on the court by CJ Miles and Paul Millsap who scored 20 and 18 off the bench.
"CJ (Miles) played extremely well," Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. "He shot the ball well and played with a lot of confidence. We needed him tonight so fortunately he stepped up for us."
Miles, who scored just 11 points in his previous four outings, was 8-for-16 from the floor including three makes from behind the arc. In Charlotte he found his groove and was able to couple with Millsap and give Utah a chance to salvage a winning road trip.
"I'm just out there playing hard and getting into the flow of the game," Miles said. "You can play a lot better when you allow yourself to get going. I came out and was able to get going."
Utah was coming off an embarrassing 96-83 loss in Atlanta Friday in which Williams and Boozer combined to score just eight points. Williams issued an apology after the game through the media and from his Twitter account.
"Last night was one of my worst games as a pro," Williams said. "I didn't like how I performed and I wanted to come out aggressive tonight. It feels good to know that we can come out after an embarrassing loss and battle. This was a good one for us."

易边再战，杰克逊接到迪奥的传球，中距离跳投命中。爵士也不甘示弱，迈尔斯助攻布泽尔，后者后仰跳投同样命中，两队仍有5分差距。两队比分此后交替上升，爵士一直保持着5分左右的领先优势。在布泽尔强打内线成功，并且造成了迪奥的犯规，2+1，打3分成功之后，爵士以68-58领先山猫达到了10分。暂停之后，山猫开始追分，默罕默德接到华莱士的传球，上篮得手。本节结束时，爵士以83-75领先山猫8分进入到第四节。

最后一节前半段时间，在奥库和迈尔斯的带领下，爵士又打出了一波17-8的进攻高潮，使得爵士领先山猫达到了17分之多。暂停之后，山猫开始反扑，凭借着奥斯古丁的连投带罚，连连得分，将比分追成了94-102。但是最后时刻德隆的两罚两中，彻底让山猫失去了赢球的希望。最终，爵士以110-102战胜了山猫。（
