Proton Gets 2,000 Bookings For Preve KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) -- Proton Holdings Bhd, which has received 2,800 bookings for its newly unveiled first global car the Proton Preve, will start to market the car in Indonesia and Thailand by the middle of this year, said Group Managing Director Datuk Seri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir.
"Since it was launched, we have recorded bookings for 2,800 units. We have been getting encouraging response.
"Many are satisfied with the design and this gives us confidence that the Proton Preve could penetrate the domestic market and insya Allah (God willing), it will be in the overseas market by the middle of this year," he told reporters at the launch of the new Proton showroom in Jalan Ampang here.
He said the Proton Preve will be marketed in Australia by the end of this year.
Syed Zainal is optimistic that Proton would achieve its monthly target of 4,000 units for the Proton Preve.
