Watson也出自家牌子的纸巾了,现在我还没查出它的纸巾不知是不是NTPM跟它OEM代工出产的。
据我了解,新加坡最大的平价市场卖的自家牌子,是NTPM代它生产的,牌子名是Budget。 |

我在Giant 和Jusco看到的是多数人都买Premier的tissue和Cutie Compact的卫生纸。我相信多数人会认为Premier和Cutie Compact代表便宜和好品质。所以她是有Brand Loyalty的。
成本增加可以隨意嫁禍給消費者嗎﹖如果tissue每条价钱增加5分,我相信消费者是不会介意,却能对NTPM的profit有很大的影响。

这也说明纸巾市场还是有利可图的。
Jusco出的tissue,toilet paper, kitchen tower (under "Jusco Selection" brand) 是NTPM代工的,Jusco一向讲究品质,她会选择NTPM代表NTPM的实力。
可惜SushiKing用的tissue是Kimberly-Clark代工的... |

纸巾选购常识
一、首先应选择大型企业、知名品牌的产品。这些企业的产品经过多次的国家监督抽查表明产品质量稳定、可靠。同时这些企业的产品生产设备先进,生产过程管理严格,使用的原材料质量好。虽然这些企业的产品价格可能相对贵一点,但使用时能保证卫生、舒适,用起来放心。
二、看包装。产品包装上应注明生产企业的名称、地址、电话等。还要注意看包装上是否注明产品的名称及所执行的标准、产品的等级。
三、最好选择用纯木浆生产的产品。纯木浆生产的产品生产企业一般会在产品的包装上注明,但也有的名不符实,纯木浆生产的产品一般匀度好、绉纹细腻、摸起来手感好,不掉粉、掉毛,湿强度也好。目前,纸巾纸的生产原料复杂,有棉浆、木浆、草浆、废纸边、废纸等。用棉浆生产的纸巾纸质量最好,但其产量极低,市场上难寻踪迹。用废纸边、废纸作原料生产的产品,产品质量一般在中、低档范围,一般来说强度较低,易掉毛、掉粉,有的见水就散,夏天用来擦汗时,纸毛就容易粘在脸上。
四、纸巾纸并非越白越好。纸巾纸产品标准中规定A等品的白度为85.0%~90.0%,有些生产企业为了提高产品白度,过量添加荧光增白剂,致使纸巾纸的白度超过90.0%,白度不符合标准的要求,这样的产品表面看起来白的不自然、色调不柔和。 |

我也对NTPM有信心
我也对NTPM的前景有信心。。可是没多余的钱to买她的股票。。所以只在星期五买了2000shares at RM0.37,以表我对NTPM的信心。。
我相信NTPM的股价会从IPO的RM0.50,跌到最低的RM0.26,是因为2.58M 的tax penalty,causing净利从约3千万左右,跌至2千万。
(strangely, I cannot find much news about tax penalty of NTPM, only source I have is from Bursa Malaysia.你们可知其详情?,Anyone has NTPM past volumn and price in 2005?)

1. I would like to get a prospectus when NPTM went for IPO listing on 25 April 2003, to further understand NTPM. I believe you should have a copy, could you email it to me? Thank you.
2. What is the status update of NTPM' expansion to oversea market (The ASEAN countries and the nations in the South Pacific as well as East Asean)?
3. In page 11 of annual report 2006, your managing director, Mr Lee See Jin said "As a further means to reduce production costs, the management is conducting a research in the production of pulp from local waste materials. This will significantly reduce the cost of raw materials as pulp fiber is a main raw material used in the production of tissue paper."
May I know what is the status of the research that Mr Lee mentioned in his statement?
4. From what I know, NTPM is OEM provider for below companies:
(a) NTUC Fairprice Co-Operative Ltd, Singapore under brand "Budget"
(b) Jusco Jusco, Malaysia under brand "Jusco Selection"
(c) Makro Cash & Carry Distribution (M) Sdn Bhd under brand "Aro"

Is my information correct? What are other companies that NTPM works as OEM?
5. In below 2 news reports, it was mentioned that NTPM planned to introduce high-grade wet wipes under Premier brand in 2005. May I know the status now? Because so far I did not see this product in market.

NTPM plans capacity expansion

NTPM Holdings Bhd is embarking on capacity expansion which includes the launch of a new personal care product - wet wipes - for the domestic market.
The company had spent almost RM70million on its production facility in Seberang Prai, which included new machinery and purchase of land for expansion.
The Penang-based NTPM, one of the largest tissue manufacturers in the region, also plans to expand its warehouse facilities in Kuala Lumpur.
It also plans to increase its research and development (R&D) expenditure, through its newly set up subsidiary Nibong Tebal Technology (NTT) Sdn Bhd.
NTT aims to discover, develop and perfect any process, appliance or invention on the production technology and biotechnology for all kinds of paper products and recycling of waste materials related to the paper industry.
It is targeting Taiwan as a new market for its tissue products, along with Australia and New Zealand whilst sticking to its traditional export markets in South-East Asia.

More personal care revenue for NTPM

NTPM Holdings Bhd, one of the three leading tissue manufacturers in the South-East Asia, plans to boost significantly the contribution of personal care products to its revenue.
Group Managing Director Lee See Jin said personal care products such as diapers, cotton items and sanitary napkins accounted for about 10% of its revenue currently, while the rest came from tissue products.
Lee said NTPM would introduce high-grade wet wipes under the Premier brand in the second half of this year.
He said the company also planned to expand its daily tissue production next month. "We have acquired the machinery and will be able to produce an additional 100 tonnes of tissue products per day on top of the current 150 tonnes."
Lee said NTPM invested RM25 million in the latest machinery, which could also improve the quality of its tissue products.
At present, the group exports 30% of its tissue products to South Pacific countries. NTPM had just opened a sales office in Thailand.

在他任职期间,他协助NTPM打造两个知名品牌,
那就是PREMIER和Cutie。。。。
2003年报56页,2004年报72页和2005年报59页记载了Lee Eng Sia 在1-5-2002到30-4-2004之间和NTPM有生意来往。
"Lee See Jin, a current substantial shareholder of the Company, is a brother to Lee Eng Sia. Priority Plus Sdn. Bhd. is a company related to Lee Eng Sia。"
我想问大家2006年NTPM的net profit是20.92M,而Directors'Remuneration是3.24M (2006年报42页),会不会太多或合理?
