好的,我就用英文吧,因为我也是读英文的。
Fleming RIGHT hand rule is applied on generator. So ur thumb represent the motion, or so call the force, meanwhile, 2nd finger represent the electromagnetic field and the middle finger represent the current. Before we go into further detail, let's understand what is force, electromagnetic filed and current.
When a generator is rotating it will rotates in a direction. So force is the direction of the rotation. Then to make the generator rotates there must be electromagnetic field exists in the generator. But then again, how does the electromagnetic field generated? It is generated by current. We know that only electron charges are able to move through whole circuit and current is the measurement of how many charges moves through a circuit. So the current produce in the field windings will be used to generate the electromagnetic field. If you ask me how the current generates the EM field, I would say that it is not covered in your syllabus. So far i think you already have the basic understanding of a generator. Fleming's RIGHT hand law is just to determine the direction of force, EM field and the current only.
On the other hand, Fleming's Left hand rule is only applicable in motor only. The thumbs represents the force, 2nd finger represents the EM filed and middle finger represents the current. EM field and current also present in motor. So left hand rules can determine the direction of rotation of a motor as in the generator.
How to distinguish a motor and a generator?
A generator is used to generate electricity. Hence, the input of a generator should be mechanical input in order to convert mechanical input to electrical output. For example, a hydro electric power plant has a big turbine to turn the generator. Turbine provide mechanical input because it rotates the shaft of the generator.
A motor converts electrical energy to mechanical energy. A typical example of motor is fan. Why fan is a motor? It is because when u plug into the socket at ur hse the motor inside the fan will start rotating and giving u the fresh air. basically the machines we use at home are motors. If these concept u can understand well then i think you should be able to determine which fleming's rule to use.
