Strength :-
His strength in the air is particularly noteworthy, both when defending and attacking at set pieces. Extremely intelligent and timely tackles with just 4 yellow cards in 44 appearances. U21 European Championship team of the tournament in 2015 after excellent display. Exceptional composure and won applaud for his display against Bayern Munich in UCL last season.
Weakness :
No obvious weakness but since he is very comfortable with the ball possession sometime people say that he should have more responsibility as ball playing central defender.
Evolution :
Waited four year before injury to both the senior defenders forced him in the team Jan and his brilliant performances cemented his place for club and country. Similar situation to that of Rashford.
In January he almost signed Middlesbrough , they even booked a ticket for him as well. Initial deal was season long loan and 5million perManent deal if they get promoted. Benfica wanted to insert extra clause and despite both the clubs working hard, the deal was off due to deadline being over. During the negotiations , the other defenders got injured , he got his chance and never looked back since then. One year after, Jose is signing him for ￡30mil.
