最有趣的是，当曼联是冲击者时，法国人坎通纳作为绝对核心带领一帮本土球员推 翻了旧世界；20年后曼联成了既得利益者，连续多年强化本土核心以求延续利益的变成了自己，此时此刻冲击者们甚至玩出了外援群，甚至全外援阵容（比如曼城）的大招。这一代本土球员的实力随时间自有定论，而外援集群的冲击力与当时相比早就上了n个台阶。说莫耶斯水平差的，自己想想换任何一个教练，第一年上任谁敢抛开弗格森过去几年既定的国策？天理循环，曼联彼时因外援兴，如果此时真以外援衰，那任何人都根本说不出话来。

看过达二期的打法，外加达格利什一期的名单，与弗格森后期一样，达格利什后期很可能也只是延续一种对弱队心里优势和胜利惯性罢了。时代更迭，任何当事人也不敢抛弃过去多年的成功之道；然而，王朝兴替有期，大势不可违也。。。

David Moyes has revealed how Sir Alex Ferguson “told him” he would succeed him as Manchester United manager.

Moyes says Fergie rang him the week before he announced his retirement, asking him round to his house before delivering his bombshell.

Former Everton boss Moyes insists he had no inkling of the possibility prior to Ferguson’s call and said: “It was a really strange situation for me.

“I had no idea whatsoever. I knew nothing at all until Sir Alex gave me a call and asked me to come to his house.

“I was expecting him to say ‘I’m going to take one of your players’ or something else.

“I went in and the first thing he said to me was ‘I’m retiring’.

“I said ‘When?’, because he was never retiring and he said ‘next week’. “And his next words were ‘you’re the next Manchester United manager’.

“So I didn’t get the chance to say yes or no. I was told that I was the next Manchester United manager and that was enough.

“As you can imagine, the blood drained from my face. I was really shocked. More shocked that Sir Alex had chosen to retire.

“But inside I was incredibly thrilled that I was going to be given the chance to manage Manchester United.”

David Moyes appointed Manchester United manager following Alex Ferguson retirement

Manchester United have confirmed David Moyes as their new manager.

The 50-year-old has signed a six-year-contract with United and will join officially on July 1 after completing the season with Everton.

Moyes has the backing of Sir Alex Ferguson, who confirmed his retirement yesterday, and his first official game will be the Community Shield against either Manchester City or Wigan at Wembley on Aug 11.

Moyes said: "It's a great honour to be asked to be the next manager of Manchester United.

"I am delighted that Sir Alex saw fit to recommend me for the job. I have great respect for everything he has done and for the football club.

"I know how hard it will be to follow the best manager ever, but the opportunity to manage Manchester United isn't something that comes around very often and I'm really looking forward to taking up the post next season."

• Moyes to take the helm on 1 July

NYSE:MANU, Manchester UK. David Moyes will take over as the Manager of Manchester United from the 2013/14 season.

David, 50, has been the Everton manager since 2002, joining after a successful spell as manager of Preston North End.

Announcing his successor, Sir Alex Ferguson said:

"When we discussed the candidates that we felt had the right attributes we unanimously agreed on David Moyes.  David is a man of great integrity with a strong work ethic. I've admired his work for a long time and approached him as far back as 1998 to discuss the position of Assistant Manager here. He was a young man then at the start of his career and has since gone on to do a magnificent job at Everton. There is no question he has all the qualities we expect of a manager at this Club.”

Sir Bobby Charlton said:

“I have always said that we wanted the next manager to be a genuine Manchester United man. In David Moyes, we have someone who understands the things that make this such a special club. We have secured a man who is committed to the long-term and will build teams for the future as well as now. Stability breeds success.

“David has tremendous strength of character and recognises the importance of bringing young players through and developing them alongside world class talent.  At United, I think David will be able to express himself.  I’m delighted he has accepted and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
