Description
SUNWAY REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUST ("SUNWAY REIT")- PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF THE PROPERTY (AS DEFINED HEREIN) BY RHB TRUSTEES BERHAD, AS THE TRUSTEE FOR SUNWAY REIT, TO SUNWAY COLLEGE (KL) SDN BHD FOR A TOTAL CASH CONSIDERATION OF RM613 MILLION
The Board of Directors of Sunway REIT Management Sdn Bhd, being the manager for Sunway REIT, wishes to announce that RHB Trustees Berhad, as the trustee for Sunway REIT, had on 2 May 2025 entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Sunway College (KL) Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway Education Group Sdn Bhd, for the disposal of 3 parcels of leasehold lands held under the following titles:

  • H.S.(D) 118325 Lot No. PT 1904 (“P.T. 1904”), 24,494.8501 square metres;
  • H.S.(D) 118326 Lot No. PT 1905 (“P.T. 1905”), measuring approximately 17,806.1664 square metres; and
  • H.S.(D) 118332 Lot No. PT 28 (“P.T. 28”), measuring approximately 25,818.9413 square metres,

all in Bandar Sunway, Daerah Petaling, Negeri Selangor Darul Ehsan (collectively, the “Lands”) together with several buildings erected on the Lands, namely:

  • the four blocks of 5-storey walk up hostel apartment in area measuring approximately 200,593 square feet;
  • the 13-storey academic block together with a 2-storey basement car park comprising a total of 1,161 bays forming part of the building known as “Sunway University” in area measuring approximately 1,046,512 square feet;
  • the 5-storey academic block along with a lower ground level forming part of the building known as “Sunway College” in area measuring approximately 275,778 square feet; and
  • the 6-storey academic block along with a lower ground level forming part of the building known as “Sunway College” in area measuring approximately 357,362 square feet,
(collectively, the “Campus Buildings”) as well as a football field measuring 69,966 square feet, basketball court measuring 7,431 square feet, netball court measuring 7,431 square feet and tennis court measuring 6,979 square feet (collectively, the “Sports Facilities”) but excluding 4 buildings, namely:
  • the 2-storey academic block along with a sub-basement level forming part of the building for education facilities in ground plinth area measuring approximately 1,369 square metres;
  • the 3-storey academic block forming part of the building for education facilities in ground plinth area measuring approximately 1,033 square metres;
  • the 3-storey academic block along with 1½ sub-basement level forming part of the building known as “Faculty of Engineering and Technology” in ground plinth area measuring approximately 2,092 square metres and the proposed extension of 2-storey laboratories and 4-storey classrooms at annex building; and
  • the 2-storey office administrative building in ground plinth area measuring approximately 336 square metres,
(collectively, the “Excluded Buildings”), located at No. 5, Jalan Universiti, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, together with all fixtures and fittings fixed to or located or used therein and the services infrastructure and systems and facilities (including without limitation, safety, heating, lighting, plumbing, sanitation, air conditioning, ventilation, fire protection safety facilities, elevators, escalators and broadband computer system) (where applicable), for a total cash consideration of RM613 million (“Disposal Consideration”) (“Proposed Disposal”).
