南达钢铁2504万 售BSWPL 45%

（吉隆坡1日讯）南达钢铁（SSTEEL，5665，主板工业产品股）宣布，以569万682美元（约2503万9000令吉），脱售Bekaert Southern Wire（简称BSWPL）的45%股权。
根据文告，该公司是在前天与Bekaert新加坡（简称BSPL）及NVBekaert SA签署买卖协议，将BSWPL的股权，卖给BSPL。
南达钢铁预计，可从中获得近2500万令吉的收益，相等于每股5.9仙。
值得注意的是，BSPL也是BSWPL原有的大股东，持其余的55%股权。
根据文告，南达钢铁最初投资在BSWPL的成本为7344万令吉。
不过，基于钢铁市场挑战艰巨，公司的投资成本在今年6月30日，已完全减值。
南达钢铁表示，脱售是为了实现早前在BSWPL的投资，并专注于现有的业务，脱售收益将作为营运资本及用来偿还贷款。【南洋网财经】

南达钢铁次季亏损收窄

（吉隆坡2日讯）南达钢铁（SSTEEL，5665，主板工业产品股）截至12月31日次季，净亏收窄至4757万8000令吉，去年同期为净亏5909万8000令吉。
营业额则按年走跌1.82%，至6亿2132万4000令吉，归咎于销售价格持续下滑打击赚幅。
累积首半年，净亏报9948万9000令吉，营业额则按年下挫2.4%，报12亿1375万9000令吉。
南达钢铁估计，中国廉价的钢铁持续倾销，直到有效的措施能遏止此现象为止，公司将须持续改善措施，缓冲动荡时期的亏损。【南洋网财经】

Southern Steel Berhad ("SSB") writes to inform that the Royal Malaysian Customs Department ("RMCD") made a surprise visit to Southern Steel Pipe Sdn Bhd ("SSP"), a subsidiary of SSB, on 24 February 2016. We understand from the Malaysian Iron and Steel Industry Federation (Misif) and an article reported in The Edge Financial Daily on 25 February 2016 that this visit was pursuant to an industry-wide audit conducted by RMCD recently.
For the purpose of the audit, RMCD took custody of certain documents and related financial records and has frozen certain bank accounts.
SSP has extended and will continue to extend its cooperation to RMCD on its audit.
The Directors of SSB are of the opinion that the operations and financials of the Group will not be materially affected by the audit.

联号公司投资减值1740万 南达钢铁第三季净亏899万

（吉隆坡20日讯）原料成本走低，加上联号公司亏损收窄，南达钢铁（SSTEEL，5665，主板工业产品股）截至3月31日第三季，亏损收窄至899万令吉。
同期营业额跌11.8%，报5亿9585万令吉。
累计首9个月，亏损则收窄至1亿848万令吉；营业额滑落5.7%，报18亿961万令吉。
南达钢铁业绩蒙亏，是因为联号公司涉及一笔1740万令吉的单次投资减值费用；但净亏则是有所改善，归功于原料成本趋低，和联号公司的亏损收窄。【南洋网财经】

Southern Steel Bhd forms bullish "Symmetrical Continuation Triangle" chart pattern
May 24, 2016
Recognia has detected a "Symmetrical Continuation Triangle (Bullish)" chart pattern formed on Southern Steel Bhd (5665:MYX).
This bullish signal indicates that the stock price may rise from the close of 0.99 to the range of 1.18 - 1.22. The pattern formed over 24 days which is roughly the period of time in which the target price range may be achieved, according to standard principles of technical analysis.
Tells Me: The price has broken upward out of a consolidation period, suggesting a continuation of the prior uptrend. A Symmetrical Continuation Triangle (Bullish) shows two converging trendlines as prices reach lower highs and higher lows. Volume diminishes as the price swings back and forth between an increasingly narrow range reflecting uncertainty in the market direction. Then well before the triangle reaches its apex, the price breaks out above the upper trendline with a noticeable increase in volume, confirming the pattern as a continuation of the prior uptrend.
This bullish pattern can be seen on the following chart and was detected by Recognia proprietary pattern recognition technology.

关税局完成南达钢铁审计

（吉隆坡2日讯）南达钢铁（SSTEEL，5665，主板工业产品股）宣布，大马关税局已完成对子公司南达管道工业公司（SSP）展开的审计工作。
南达钢铁日前向马交所报备，关税局已完成审计工作，并归还所有文件及解冻银行户头。
“这行动并没有对我们的运作和财务，造成显著影响。”
关税局是在今年2月，对南达管道工业公司进行突击检查，扣押相关财务档案及冻结户头。
大马关税局早前突袭多家上市钢铁公司，包括协德（HIAPTEK，5072，主板工业产品股）在内，以作为审计和调查行动。【e南洋】

南达钢铁取消4.27亿合约
2016年7月12日
（吉隆坡11日讯）南达钢铁（SSTEEL，5665，主板工业产品股）宣布，独资子公司南达HRC私人有限公司取消一项接近4亿2700万令吉的合约。
根据文告，南达HRC在上周四（7日）取消与Danieli & C.Officine Meccaniche在2011年6月16日签署的合约。
该项合约是设计、制造和供应薄板坯连铸直接连接双炉卷轧机，以生产热轧钢（HRC）。
不过，Danieli无法解决的问题，包括出现严重违约，以及没有履行合约的基本义务。
南达钢铁表示，取消合约必须进行评估该工程的价值，所以目前无法确定对集团带来的财务影响程度；不过，这不会影响集团其他核心业务。
在截至6月30日末季的较高售价下，集团预计这些核心业务仍可在末季取得盈利。
接下来，领域将持续面对挑战，而管理层则会持续采取措施，改善成本和生产力。【e南洋】

OFFICINE MECCANICHE S.P.A. | Southern Steel Berhad (“SSB”) wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Southern HRC Sdn Bhd (“SHRC”), has on 7 July 2016, terminated the Contract signed with Danieli & C. Officine Meccaniche S.p.A. (“Danieli”) on 16 June 2011 (“Contract”) for the design, manufacture and supply of a “Thin Slab Casting Unit feeding directly a twin Steckel Mill” for the production of hot rolled coil. SHRC has terminated the Contract in accordance with the terms of the said Contract. Danieli has failed to remedy and resolve the issues set out in the Notice of Termination which constitute a major default and failure by Danieli to fulfill its fundamental obligations under the Contract.
Arising from such termination, SHRC reserves all of its rights to exercise all remedies available to SHRC under the Contract and at law as a result of Danieli’s misrepresentations, breaches and/or defaults under the Contract.
Any and all disputes arising from such termination shall be finally settled by arbitration in accordance with the Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.
The amount involved in the Contract is approximately RM427 million. This termination requires an assessment of the carrying value of the project. Pending the assessment, the Company is unable to determine the extent of the financial impact, if any, on SSB Group at this juncture.
This termination does not affect the other core businesses of SSB Group. With better selling prices in the 4th quarter of the financial year ended 30 June 2016 (“4th Quarter”), we expect these core businesses to be profitable in the 4th Quarter. Going forward, the industry shall remain challenging and the management will continue to adopt measures to improve cost and productivity.

第四季营业额下滑3.24%至5亿9088万2000令吉，令全年营业额走低5.10%至24亿零49万5000令吉。
该公司发文告指出，第四季及全年净亏损扩大是受联号公司产业、工厂及器材价值1亿4100万令吉注销费用影响，实际上，受价格上涨贡献，营运表现比前期理想。

南达钢铁首季转亏为盈

（吉隆坡14日讯）销售价提高及成本走低，带动南达钢铁（Southern Steel Bhd）首季转亏为盈。
南达钢铁指出，截至9月杪的2017财政年首季，净利为1930万令吉，相较于上财年同期净亏5191万令吉。
然而，首季营业额下滑1.1%至5亿8575万令吉，同期是5亿9244万令吉。
根据该集团向大马交易所报备，首季取得3300万令吉的税前盈利，相比去年同期的5700万令吉税前亏损。
展望未来，该集团预计，2017财年的市场将保持不确定和波动，原料成本上涨，以及市场需求趋软。
政府早前宣布，自9月26日起，对进口至大马的钢卷和钢筋分别征收13.9%和13.4%的临时保护税，然而，该集团预计本地市场仍具竞争，因将需要几个月的时间方可耗尽现有市场的廉价进口库存。

南达钢铁次季转盈3655万
2017年2月16日
（吉隆坡15日讯）由于售价改善，南达钢铁（SSTEEL，5665，主板工业产品股）截至12月杪次季转亏为盈，净赚3655万3000令吉，上财年同期净亏4757万8000令吉。
该公司昨天向马交所报备，当季营业额按年上涨17.74%，至7亿3156万8000令吉，高于上财年同期的6亿2132万4000令吉。
累计首6个月，该公司净赚5585万6000令吉；营业额则增加8.53%，至13亿1731万8000令吉。
政府去年9月26日实验性实施，向进口钢筋征收保护关税，导致本地商家从其他不受该措施影响的国家进口钢筋，进而削弱该措施带来的优势。
由于本地需求疲弱，未来销售价不太可能会调高。
基于原料成本走高，赚幅可能会承压，南达钢铁管理层将继续改善公司的营运效率与生产率。【e南洋】
