PP as in past tense/present tense/past prefect?

I am holding a glass of boiling water. (我正在扶着一杯正在沸腾的水)
I am holding a glass of boiled water. (我正在扶着一杯已经煮开了的水)

蓝色－形容词(adjective)
红色－被形容的东西(object)

I am holding a walking stick.
I use a chopping board to slice my vegetables.

walking stick和
chopping board
严格来讲walking和chopping都是形容词.它们描述了stick和board的用处。

EG.:
What (kind of) stick is that?
It's a walking stick.

What (kind of) board is that?
It's a chopping board.

What kind of brother do you have?
I have a caring brother. <---The word "caring" described the brother.)

其实present perfect tense 的 pattern 是 subject + verb to have + verb with past participle(not past tense form)

之前已有提过关于tense的，可参考。

past participle( third word)

go    went    gone
eat   ate     eaten
walked  walked   walked

present perfect tense
e.g.I have done my work.
    You have tried your best.

past perfect tense
e.g. I had gone to school.
     He had done his homework.

past perfect continuous tense
had + been + past participle
e.g. I had been sleeping when he called me.

present perfect continuous tense
has/have + been + past participle
e.g. I have been waiting for you.
     She has been cooking until you come.

future perfect
shall/will + has/have + past participle
e.g.I shall have brought you a good book when I return.

Singular? Plural?

我认为是singular. 可能这个字比较特别所以我们说God bless you.而不是god blesses you。。。god forbid....

我的意思是god这个字。我们平时讲he blesses me.但却讲god bless you./god forbid.

对 God 这个词是很特别的 不需要用singular 的grammar forms =) 没什么，就因为他是GOD神，不需要与其他mortals人类一样被bind with grammar rules ^^~ (认真的啦)

还有那个"study lorr" 真的好笑 XD！！

原来如此。谢谢指点了。那个笑话我也是昨天才刚看到，原来很多人study "law".....

当用超过一个Adjectives时必须跟着以下的顺序：

Quantitative  -  Qualitative  -  Colour  -  Classifying
Many               cozy           white       brick
two                lovely         pink        cotton

如：A huge purple umbrella
    I met a tall French lady yesterday.
    Jan bought a piece of blue Thai silk from Bangkok.
    Fifty old yellow plastic box.


The word "colour" is not used after a colour adjective.
so we should say: a blue and white building. but not:a blue and white colour building.
