习惯的用法是 breakfast，brunch，lunch，dinner，supper 前不用 the
Dinner is ready.

要注意的是我们本地人（KL？）常用的 take ：take breakfast/lunch/dinner 则纯属本地土产，避免使用。 |

翻查词典会发现 breakfast, lunch, dinner 等词同时是可数和不可数名词：
Longman：
lunch [uncountable and countable]
一般情况都是以不可数名词，不加 the （283#楼讨论过）使用：
I had porridge for breakfast.
Dinner is ready.
I invited them to dinner.
但是如果这些词之前加了形容词，则使用可数名词：
I had a big breakfast.
That was a very nice dinner. |

if ... （过去式动词）...，... would + （原型动词）...
所以：Would you mind if I opened the window? 这是请求别人允许你开窗（自己去开）。
如果请求对方开窗（对方去开）则是：Would you mind opening the window?
Do you mind 则不同：
Do you mind if I + （现在式动词/present tense verb）
很明显的，问的是我未来将要做的一件事，当然不可用过去式动词。 |
