The playing of 'God Save The Queen' before Northern Ireland's match against Poland on Sunday prompted injury Manchester City and Belgium defender Vincent Kompany to ask: "If England faces Northern Ireland will we hear the same national anthem twice? Will they all sing it together... twice? I'm confused."
Ferdinand said: "Patrice Evra is still playing you know. It's unbelievable.
"When he was at Manchester United I thought, 'wow, this guy's legs are not looking good.'
"He's played for three more years!"
He's been a regular for Juventus since departing Old Trafford, winning two Serie A titles and two Coppa Italias.
Evra started in France's Euro 2016 opener against Romania on Friday night as the hosts got their campaign off to a flying start with a 2-1 win.
