Subject	:	Dreamgate Corporation Bhd. (“DCB” or “the Company”) Amendment to the Unaudited Consolidated Results of the Group for the financial year ended 31 December 2008
Contents	:	Reference is made to Note 13 (on subsequent events) of the Quarterly Report announced on 27 February, 2009. The Board of Directors of DCB now wishes to announce an amendment inrespect of the Interim Unaudited Financial Statements of the Group forthe financial year ended 31 December 2008, which was announced on 27February 2009. As a result of the amendment, the Group incurred anunaudited net loss of RM22.8 million instead of a net loss of RM9.5million for the 3 months ended 31 December, 2008 and an unaudited netloss of RM2.9 million instead of a net profit of RM10.4 million for theyear ended 31 December 2008. We set out below the reconciliation of the numbers and our explanation as follows:

The Board ofDirectors at its meeting on 27 February, 2009 was of the opinion thenthat the cessation may be temporary because:a. adirective in 5 December, 2008 required all slot clubs not operating inthe hotel licensed by the Ministry of Tourism to be closed temporarilyand required those business operation to be relocated accordinglywithin a period of six months, failing which, the license will be void.The Company immediately complied with this directive and closed allclubs (with a total of 770 gaming machines) did not meet thisrequirement (the impairment of these machines were already accountedfor in the earlier announcement). As a result, the directors were ofthe opinion that the new directive may not apply to the remaining slotclubs managed by the Company and directed its management in Cambodia to seek clarification. b. theCompany had been encouraged by the Government to invest in slot clubsin Cambodia and did not think the Government would take such drasticaction which would affect so many foreign investors as well as its owncitizens who were employed by or conducted business with theseoperators. Nevertheless,the Company also immediately began to evaluate its options with a viewto mitigate its losses in the event that the closure of its slot clubs(other than its operations within casinos) became permanent. Itundertook a lengthy review of all its operations, assets and resourcesas well as its business plans, not only in Cambodia, but in other countries in South East Asia and Macauas well, with a view to curtailing its capital expenditure budgets byusing the machines affected. It put in place plans to deploy its newand uninstalled machines to new joint venture operations outsideCambodia and to deploy its older machines to existing casinos inCambodia as well as our own casino in Bavet, Cambodia which is expectedto be opened shortly. However, some older machines would not bedeployed due to host nation’s requirement for new machines and wouldhave to be sold or scrapped. Also certain proposed ventures which hadyet to commence business would have to be terminated, and thus wouldnecessitate consideration of impairment losses.Todate, there has been no change in the stance taken by the governmentand the feedback from official sources was negative. It is theintention of the Board to make representations to the government in duecourse to allow some form of slot club operations in the country.However, the Board is of the view that this may not be an opportunetime to make this representation. In view of this, the Board concludedthat it would be timely to take the necessary measures and activateaction plans to mitigate losses as stated above. The Board alsoresolved that it would be prudent to account for the impairment ofassets affected by the closure as required by the FRS 136 Impairment ofAssets and FRS 137 Provisions, Contingent Liabilities and ContingentAssets. Outof 1,800 machines affected, we expect to deploy 1,430 machineselsewhere and suffer impairment losses of RM1.2 million on theremaining 370 machines. Allother tangible assets located in the slot clubs, such as fixtures,furniture, equipment, renovation costs would also suffer impairmentlosses of RM7.2 million. Included in the amount is a proposed clubproject (undertaken by an 55% owned subsidiary) with a movie themewhich had incurred construction/renovation costs of RM4.4 million andhad paid a deposit of RM0.5 million for a long-term rental of abuilding. The Board considers it prudent to terminate the tenancy aswell as this project and write off RM4.9 million (including the rentaldeposit) incurred to 31 December, 2008. Certainsubsidiaries had paid deposits for rental of premises for slot club’soperation. The Board considered it prudence to write off those depositsin view of possibility of forfeiture due to early termination. The licenses held by certain slot clubs owned by subsidiary and associated companies have an impairment loss of RM2.6 million.

没办法，CAMBODIA政府大完，谁叫DREAMGATE大手笔投资在这个国家，风险管理有待加强。

如果诚如管理层所说的，因为经济风暴，亚洲CASINO开始"无奈地"能够接受SLOT MACHINE CONCESSION这样的商业模式，长期或许能为DREAMGATE打下固定收入来源。这或许是危机中的“机”吧。

买卖自负，DREAMGATE还是一只小小鸟的说。
