Serving as the final instalment in the "Fate/Stay Night Heaven`s Feel" trilogy, the movie picks up immediately where the previous entry, "Fate/Stay Night: Heaven`s Feel II. Lost Butterfly", left off. Shirou Emiya is determined to put an end to the Holy Grail War, which is a fight to the death that involves the mages and their Servants, spirits that are heroes from the past. Shirou has also vowed to protect his long-time friend, Sakura Matou, and now throws himself into the raging battle with Rin Tohsaka as his ally.
