报道称，由于美国和欧盟针对波音与空中客车飞机补贴问题相互指责，美国贸易代表办公室（USTR）在4月提议对巨额欧洲输美商品加征关税，包括民航机与各种奶酪等农产品。

USTR定于7月2日再度提出一份可加征关税的补充清单。

另据路透社7月1日报道称，USTR提出的这份可能加征关税的额外产品清单包括橄榄、意大利乳酪和苏格兰威士忌。


USTR表示，根据公众意见，在初始清单中再增加89个关税子类，包括各种金属，但没有给出进一步的解释。逾40人在5月15和16日的公听会就纳入初始清单的产品陈述证词。

报道介绍，美国和欧盟就美国波音和欧洲空中客车的补贴问题，已在世界贸易组织（WTO）争执近15年，双方针锋相对相互威胁要对飞机、拖拉机和食品课征关税。

在两起全球规模最大的企业贸易争端中，WTO认定上述两大飞机制造商获得数以十亿美元计的有害补贴。

预计WTO将在夏季就美国的制裁请求做出裁决，但也可能推迟至9月。USTR称，将于8月5日就拟征税的额外产品清单举行听证会。

Donald Trump has threatened fresh tariffs on $4bn (￡3.2bn) of European products including cheese, scotch whisky and olives, ratcheting up pressure on the EU in a long-running row over aircraft subsidies.

The US trade representative’s office released a list of 89 additional items – including olives, Italian and Dutch cheese, Scotch whisky, Irish whiskey, pasta, coffee and ham – that could face tariffs. These join products worth $21bn that were announced as potential targets for tariffs in April, which included roquefort cheese, wine, champagne, olive oil and seafood such as oysters. The latest list also includes a number of copper products and other metals.

The move came days after a truce was reached in the trade war between the US and China.

The US and the EU have both threatened to impose tariffs on planes, tractors and food in a tit-for-tat trade row that was sparked by aircraft subsidies given to US aircraft maker Boeing and its European rival, Airbus.

In a statement issued Thursday, Norwegian Foreign Affairs Minister Ine Eriksen Soreide said her country and other nations had chosen to request the establishment of a dispute panel at the WTO.

“We believe that the U.S.’s additional duty on steel and aluminum is in violation of the WTO rules,” she wrote.

Nine WTO members -- Canada, China, the EU, India, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey -- have filed initial complaints that allege Trump’s tariffs on steel and aluminum violated WTO rules. But Thursday’s move takes the disputes an important step closer to a formal case.

After 20 years of trying, the EU and four Latin American countries making up the Mercosur customs union finally completed a sweeping trade deal covering almost $100 billion worth of bilateral trade a year. Days later, even as the Trump administration vilified Vietnam as “even worse than China” and hit Hanoi with fresh tariffs, the EU and Vietnam announced a new free trade deal as well—Europe’s “most ambitious” such pact with an emerging economy.
