1815年4月，有史以来最强烈的火山爆发令这颗星球陷入巨大的灾难，208年后，研究者们仍在努力搞清它的后果。现在他们明白，这场爆发对气候变冷、农业崩溃和全球流行病都有影响，甚至导致了某些著名怪物的出现。

更让人惊讶的是，研究者们发现，火山微粒形成的巨大云层蔓延全球，遮蔽阳光，造成了为期三年的全球气候变冷。1816年6月，一场暴风雪侵袭了纽约北部。当年的7月和8月，新英格兰的农场受到 #霜灾 的致命破坏。伦敦整个夏天都遭到 #雹灾。
吉伦·达尔西·伍德(Gillen D’Arcy Wood)的新著《坦博拉：改变世界的火山爆发》(Tambora: The Eruption that Changed the World)追溯了那段灾难的历史，展现它严重的全球影响，因为这场灾难，全世界很多国家和社区都遭到一波接一波的饥荒、疾病、社会动荡和经济衰退。全球农作物都出现减产。
1816年是 #無夏之年 “没有夏天的一年”，那一年不仅诞生了无数以 #烈日 和 #暴风雪 为题材的油画，也诞生了两大类哥特小说：这两个畸形的产物分别是弗兰肯斯坦的怪物和人形吸血鬼，它们至今仍在艺术与文学世界扮演着重要角色。

还记得4年前，时任叙利亚驻联合国大使巴沙尔（Bashar al-Jaafari）呆坐在联合国大厦里，无助、凄凉、哭泣吗？
2018年4月9日，联合国召开的叙利亚化学武器会议上，巴沙尔刚与各国理事展开激烈辩论，怒斥美国造谣叙利亚化学武器事件。指责英法美三国是“骗子、搅屎棍、伪君子”，建议他们好好读读《联合国宪章》，让自己从无知和专横中醒悟。但是这番慷慨激昂的演讲没有起到任何作用，因为在巴沙尔刚开始演讲没多久，英美法三国的代表就“愤然”离席。
4天后，110颗导弹还是残酷地飞向了叙利亚——这个已经饱受7年战乱的国家。十多万人，再次背井离乡。
要知道，叙利亚战争持续10年都难言结束，有人权组织称导致了近50万人死亡。然而，10年间对叙利亚的狂轰滥炸，50万条血淋淋的生命，都没有召开过一次联合国紧急会议。
4年后的当下，2022年3月3日，联合国大会召开自1997年以来的首次紧急会议，要求俄罗斯“立即、彻底、无条件”撤军，以141票支持-5票反对-35票弃权通过决议，谴责俄罗斯入侵行为，要求俄方立刻撤军。
