"Cause and Struggle" 這句phrase 是什麼意思?

常看到這句話比如 :
(1)He has published the books The Independence of Puerto Rico: Cause and Struggle.

Vital 不是adjective 嗎？可以是noun 嗎？ 請問下面一句 support vital 裡這個vital 是名詞還是形容詞？

A lack of essential nutrients can leave the body without the nutritional support vital for good health.

cause and struggle 没有什么特别的含义，就 cause and struggle；就像 cats and dogs，就猫和狗。
cause 应该是指一群人支持、争取或为之斗争的一个组织、信仰或目标，
struggle 则是努力、奋斗或斗争

vital 是形容词，不可能是名词，vitality 才是名词。

在这个句子里，“vital for good health” 是用来修饰“support” 这个名词的：
the nutritional support (that is vital for good health)
或缩短成 the nutritional support (vital for good health)

类似马来文的 yang .... 例：sokongan (yang penting untuk kesihatan baik)
（我的马来文有点烂，不懂对不对）
