有个英文字不会~

请问teenies是什么意思呀？为什么我上网找不到这个字的?
是不是teen+ies?
那ringing in the teenies又是什么意思？
我英文很差，请大家不要见怪>< |

对了，我所理解，TEENIES只是形容年份（２０１０－２０１９，大概吧，哈），比如她提到的２０００年=Y２K。。。
如果只看单字TEENIES，你可以找TEENY。。。 |

ring in something
= to ring bells to celebrate something, especially the new year
ringing in the teenies就是迎接teenies
作者把这个十年称之为teenies，我也不懂原因
上个十年叫the noughties |

中文我们可以说，二十或二零年代......九十或九零年代，可是只说一零年代而不说十年代，不顺口，跟其他的年代称呼不搭配...
同样道理，英文有 the twenties......the nineties，可是不说 the tens (有吗？没听说过)，the teenies 似乎比较顺口，也和其他的年代称呼比较搭配... the noughties/naughties, the teenies, the twenties, the thirties, the forties...
不知不觉，唉...... 已悄悄来到了一零年代，the teenies，随着更多人的使用，teenies 应该会广泛被接受，最终可能会在主流辞典争得一席之地.....但也说不准，00年代过去了，the noughties/naughties 还未成功争得一席之地......中文在这方面，胜了一筹，不用那么麻烦，只要读的顺口，定义明了合理，能让大家接受，就定下来了，不用像英文那样，还得排队等着权威专家的认定......
the teenies, the twenties, the thirties...... 都是复数名词，没有单数。 |
