I try to understand your wording.
The best way to ensure I understand it is by demontrating to you the
followongs and you confirm it or correct it.

Let say by end of the day on 29.11.2007,

the KLCI is 1380.00,
the total KLCI market cap is 1000m,
the market cap for the outgoing SIME, GHOPE & GUTHRIE is 70m based on
the prices on 17.10.2007,
the market cap for the incoming YNH & Landmarks is 30m based on the
prices on 29.11.2007,
the market cap for the incoming Synergy Drive is 100m (but my question
is base on what reference price)

Therefore, the current KLCI on 30.11.2007 = 1380*current total market
cap / (1000m - 70m + 30m + 100m)

Am I right? Please confirm or correct me.

Anyway, how can I get the exact detailed computation for KLCI?

我上BURSA网站查联合动力的招股书，
里面第167面有说明联合动力的预测2007年6月的EPS将是RM0.43，
假设联合动力的合理PE是25倍的话，
联合动力的合理价钱是＝RM0.43*25＝RM10.75，
这比参考价钱RM8.90高出20.8％，
而联合动力的比重是8％多的话，
如果当天11月30日，联合动力就涨到合理价的话，
KLCI将会上涨＝0.08*0.208*1366＝22.73点。

这已经是很保守的算法了，比较一下，IOI的2007年6月全年的EPS才是RM0.2413，以今天IOI的闭市价RM6.90来算，PE＝6.9/0.2413＝28.6倍。

今天闭市的FKLI只是比KLCI高出8点而已，所以long吧！

I think we should 暂时不玩FKLI .. be careful ..

1. FKLI current premium 25 points - too high
2. SD listing price and potential price still not clear
3. DJI technical rebound 500 points .. its time to profit taking
4. KLCI volume below 1B
5. Yesterday DJI up 330 .. KLCI 3.44 - indicate the buying interest still not strong enough

完全同意你讲的，

只是我觉得目前FKLI高过KLCI这么多，20多点。
我们应该敢敢short spot month，
然后等它的premium少过10点的时候才long回！
就像昨天的闭市时，premium才7点呀！

我刚刚short了4张11月的FKLI，价位是1395.5。

在如此高premium的时候，
我就敢敢的赌它吧！
难道明天KLCI会上50点？
不太可能吧！

SD的比重7。4％，合理价RM11。25，如果明天一开市就达到合理价，单单SD就能把指数推上30点，再配合其他重量股明天把KLCI推高40点也不是无可能。
所以说，在缺乏热钱参与和本地基金操重马股之下，DJI下300点，KLCI也绝对有能力上30点，问题是大户的筹码是做空还是做多。

i think the Nov & Dec may drop to 1385 now 1395 is too high, history may repeat itself like tue & Wed end of  day fall dramatically as investor also worry abt dow jones market may fall

I'm prefer to SHORT for Dec and not Nov ...

simple .. have room to turn loss to gain ( if FKLI hit above 1400 & i got 1 more month to wait )
