Tamerton secures tender for Jurong hotel site

A hotel site located at Jurong Town Hall Road (pictured) has been awarded to Tamerton Pte. Ltd, according to the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).

Tamerton submitted the highest bid among 11 bidders at S$ 238.2 million (S$12,565.28 psm), when the tender closed on 20 November.

The 9,026.9 sq m site was launched for tender on 19 September and offered on a 99-year lease term.

The site offers a maximum permissible gross floor area (GFA) of 18,957 sq m and will be developed into a hotel by the lake.

Genting Singapore Ltd – has announced a partnership with global hospitality group Marriott International Inc to open Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Jurong. The new hotel – located off-site from the company’s casino complex Resorts World Sentosa – is expected to open in early 2026, according to a joint press release issued on Tuesday.

The new Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Jurong (pictured in an artist’s rendering) will be a rebranding of the existing Genting Hotel Jurong. The latter is located within the Jurong Gateway precinct of the Jurong Lake District, Singapore’s largest planned mixed-use business district outside the city centre, according to the release.
