什么叫学佛？在此告诉各位一个简单的法则：那就是听闻佛法之后， 不能迷信，这是第一个前提 (first prerequisite), 所谓迷信是不管三七二十一，统统接受，应该是在接受之后要存疑。存疑是要去求证，而非怀疑。
接受是先对你的教法承认，但是因为自己没有经验，而透过体验就是在修行，所以存疑跟怀疑不一样，一般人因不接受而产生排斥，这是怀疑，也就是未经过求证就先否定了。
而我们是接受后一定要去求证，用自己的实际经验去求证佛所说的怎么个对法，这样才叫学佛。


What is called practice learning dharma? Here is a simple rule: that is, after hearing the Dharma, you can't be superstitious. This is the first prerequisite. The so-called superstition is you accept regardless of anything. Instead, one should be skeptical after acceptance. Skeptical is to ask for proof (or truth), not just in doubt.

Acceptance is to recognise your dharma doctrine, but because you are inexperience, and you are practicing your cultivation through self experience, hence skeptical are different from doubts. Most of the people unable to accept dharma doctrine and have the sense of rejection. This is because they are in doubt. In other words, they reject the dharma doctrine without seeking for truth.

We must able to accept and seek for the truth, use our own practical experience to verify what the Buddha said is right, so that is called learning Dharma.
