7 days trekking to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal.

20th April. Arriving to Kathmandu in the afternoon. It was raining and cold. I boarded a cab to Thamel, and pick up my Greenline bus ticket nearby to Kanti Path. This maybe the only bus ticket that I can book online. There's actually a lot of tourist bus to Pokhara. But most of them are not available for booking online. Maybe the only way is to book through a travel agent or hostel, if they provide the service. Still raining and wet, I walk to my hostel that I booked through hostel world. Thamel is not that big, and a lot of shops and hostel around. After checked into hostel, I walked to Durbar Square. It was very happening that day, and entrance fee was waived on that day. There were having some kind of celebration where they pull a big cart around those temple.
People watching the celebration.

Getting the card ready.

21st April. I wake up early and headed to Green Line bus station, catching my 7:30am bus to Pokhara. The bus ride took 6 to 7 hours. I will be meeting my trekking guide Krishna in Pokhara today. It was a pleasant bus ride. I purposely sit on the right side of the bus, and hopes that I can see some snow mountain along the way. Scenery was nice, villages and valley. Only managed to see snow mountain when arriving Pokhara. Met Krishna and had my briefing done. And found that I have not bring anything suitable for trekking! So Krishna brought me to buy down jacket and pants.

22nd April. Meet Krishna early morning and board a vehicle to Nayapul. This is the starting point of our treks. Our destination today is Ghandruk. Nothing much happens in trekking. Most of the time I was looking at the floor while walking. Why? There's a lot of cow and donkey poo poo. I just have to be careful with each of the step I took.

23rd April. Second day of our trek. Destination today is Chomrong. Pleasant walk and not too steep. Saw donkeys, goats, horses, buffalo, and lots of poo poo. As usual, keep on eye on the floor.

This is not ordinary goat, they are mountain goat.

Mysterious tree.. So I snapped a picture

This way to Chomrong..
Stay for the night. I think this is the best in Chomrong to get a panorama view of the  snow mountain around.
This is the view I am talking about!
24th April. Destination of the day. Himalaya.  There's only 2 hostel here. Accomodation are limited and lot of trekkers. It's getting cold at this altitude. And I am not going to take bath today. Not much  picture taken today.

25th April. Destination of the day. Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC) 3700m. We passby Deurali, and arriving MBC at noon. We will be staying here tonight, as accomodation in ABC is full. We will be trekking to ABC at 4am tomorrow morning. The trekking path between Himalaya and MBC are great..

Fish tail. Climbing is prohibited.

Fish tail.. and snow...

This is the best view behind MBC hostel. I took 8 photos and combine them, as the view is enormous and I am standing beside a cliff with limited space to move around.

Annapurna south in the evening.

Annapurna south at night. The mountain is bright at night.

MBC at noon

26th April. Wake up at 4am. And start trekking to Annapurna base camp for sunrise. We leave our bag in MBC and pick them up later when we decent.

We spent the next 3 days decent to Bamboo, Jhinu then back to Pokhara. That ends my trekking trip. Krishna, my trekking guide is knowledgeable and knows the area very well.
