公司发dividend是看reserve 还是cash flow?

如果公司的reserve/retain profit有9 million,
但是cash flow只有 2million,

公司要发2 million 的dividend, 行的通吗?

reserve/ retain profit有9 million不是代表公司也是有9 million吗?

我们的dividend payment 是based on net earning 的。eg. the dividend is paid out based on xx% of net earning of the year XXX. 每一年AGM 的时候，我们的directors 就会set 一个% 出来，当然要reasonable 还不会有impact to cash flow 的。

还有要看你的excess cash 是不是from profit 或者是从银行贷款的。 据我了解，如果有Loan的话，银行会尽量限制你的paid out dividend 的。

公司只会pay dividend out of cash flow 不是retain profits， 应为retain profits 含有（amount in arrears/ receivable）也就是还没收到的/ 还没还的债务。。

然而dividend payout decision is based on company directors。 他们有权利不发dividend（可能用于future investment/ developement）

我们的公司出dividend要check很多的东西的。
１。出了dividend，retain profit不能变成loss.
２. 公司须要有足够的profit来出dividend.
３。公司须要有足够的cash来出dividend.
４。公司有没有S１０８ tax credit

楼主，
如果你的cash flow 有RM２million， dividend出完RM２million， 那你的bank and cash balance是zero会不会太危险？你难到不用保留一点cash for next year expenses？或者是reserve 一点cash flow balance 给所得税？
Reserve ／retained profit 有RM９million 意思是你的profit积聚到RM９million.如果全部RM９million是distributable， 那全部的RM９million 就可以用来派dividend。
