Luang Phor Prom Wat Chong Kae passed away on 30th January BE2518 at the age 96 years old. Luang Por Prom was born in Ayuthaya Province on 20th April BE2427.
He was ordained a monk at Wat Pahk Kong Yang on 15th April BE2447 at the age of 20.
Before Luang Phor Prom was ordained as a monk, he studied magical chanting from Ajahn Puang. After he became a monk, Ajahn Puang brought Luang Phor Prom to learn Dhamma under Luang Phor Dum. After which he become the disciple of Ajahn Poowon who taught all the magical incntations that he knew . After Ajahn Poowon passed away, Luang Phor Prom ceased any further study.
The 3 teachers that Luang Phor Prom had learnt from, were the very best teachers during his era. The first teacher, Ajahn Puang was the disciple of Luang Phor Mah, Wat Bahng Muang; who is also the teacher of Prajow Taksin Maharaht (King of Thailand before Rattanakosin period). As for Ajahn Poowon, he was the disciple of Luang Phor Nin of Wat Keow Pah Sak. Luang Phor Nin was the brother of Luang Phor Saeng, the teacher of Phra Somdej Praputjahn Toh.
Luang Phor Prom went Tudong in BE 2457. He travelled around the Chong Kae mountains in Nakon Sawan Province. When he first arrived at foothill in Chong Kae, there was a heavy thunderstorm. The villagers asked him to shelter inside a cave. The first night Luang Phor Prom dwelt in the cave and soon was asleep due to tiredness from his long journey. He dreamt of a human image; guiding him how to follow the path of Buddha's teachings. As a result of that dream Luang Phor Prom decided to remain in the cave
Luang Phor Prom soon after returned to Ayuthaya Province to sell farmland passed down by his parents. In BE 2458, Luang Phor Prom returned to Chong Kae village. With the help of the villagers and the money he had,a temple was constructed named Wat Chong Kae. Luang Phor Prom remained at the temple for 60 years, until he passed away on 30th January BE2518 at the age 96. he has served Buddhism for well over 70 years.
Luang Phor Prom's body is housed in a glass coffin in Wat Chong Kae. His body remains in good condition, and there are no signs of decay. In fact, his finger nails and body hair are sais to still be growing. Many have said that he reached the level of Arahan, and the body will never decay.

WAT RAKANG SOMDEJ正庙的牌, 还有WAT CHIANG HAI 的 LP TUAD. 不管新或老牌都可以收! 因为这两间庙出的牌都是全世界所公认的! |
