白眉田鸡 White-Browed Crake

鹤形目 > 秧鸡科 > 田鸡属
  [size=-1]GRUIFORMES > Rallidae > Porzana cinerea
描述：体型略小(20厘米)的灰褐色秧鸡。嘴短，头部斑纹明显，黑色的贯眼纹其上下均具白色条纹。头顶、背及上体暗褐，头侧及胸灰色，腹偏白，两胁及尾下黄褐色。
虹膜－红色；嘴－近黑；脚－绿黄。
叫声：繁殖期嘈杂发出尖而细的cutchi cutchi cutchi似苇哨声，两三只鸟汇拢同叫。
分布范围：东南亚的南部、菲律宾及大巽他群岛至新几内亚、澳大利亚北部及太平洋岛屿。
分布状况：迷鸟于1991年4月出现在香港的米埔。亦曾偶见于台湾。
习性：性羞怯。喜漫水草地、沼泽及稻田。通常成对活动。

World Migratory Birds Day
Birdwatching- Basic Beginners Practical Course 10th & 11th May 2008
A basic birdwatching practical course for beginners will be conducted on Sunday 11th and a discussion on birdwatching on Saturday evening on the 10th up on Penang. Hill. The discussions and information sharing on the 10th will be between beginners and other birdwatchers on birds and birdwatching and the practical session will be from morning till lunch time on the 11th. Accommodations are free but have to bring your sleeping bags and cook your own food. Cooking facilities are available. Food can also be bought at the hawker stalls.



The charge for the course is RM10/- to cover MNS cost.

田鸡的确就是他的名字，它是田里的秧鸡。。。。。是他正统的名字，而用在青蛙身上时只是俗名，而且很可能是方言来的，指的是田里像鸡肉的东西。
